The dinner that I was supposed to attend was on Saturday the 28th. The Cuise was cancelled due to rain. Unfortunately we are moving out of state this weekend and will not be able to reschedule our cruise. Please refund my card or contact me with refund information. Thank you!

The boat ride was enjoyable and the food was good. However, we would have enjoyed ourselves a little more if the cruise would have left a little earlier so we could enjoy more of the scenery. We also did not like the buffet style dinner, we expected to have a waiter. Overall the length of the cruise was perfect and enjoyed our family time together. |

Loved the cruise, food and service could improve. |

The cruise was beautiful and relaxing. I was very disappointed with the service and the dinner. We were on the upper deck and we saw an attendant three times (when our table was released for dinner, when our dishes were picked up and when our dessert was delivered). The dinner was overcooked chicken and filet mignon. Both very dry. The salad, vegetable (corn) and dinner roll was good, but nothing special. The dessert (apple pie) was small and served very late in the evening. The oil lamps on the table were not lit and the light strings on the upper deck were not on.
The Captain was very nice and provided some interesting information, but I think the attendants could have enhanced the evening by being more attentive to the guests.

The cruise we were on had a storm at the very end. It made the voyage eventful. We felt it was very well done. The food was great and the staff was very helpful. We would do it again. |

My husband and I went on this cruise as part of our 2nd anniversary and we enjoyed it thoroughly. The scenery was spectacular, the captain was knowledgeable but didn't bombard us with constant talking. The music is perfect for the occasion, from Norah Jones to Frank Sinatra, upbeat and romantic.
The boat leaves exactly on time. The first time we missed the boat by less than 5 minutes and it was gone, we had to reschedule at $20 per person. So DON'T be late. But even paying the extra money it was well worth it!
The drive from Phoenix to Canyon Lake is beautiful and easy. We're planning on returning with family and friends and any other reason we can find. |

This dinner cruise was a really great Saturday night date. The drive to Canyon Lake alone is a spectacular ride. Being from the east valley, I have known about the Dolly Steamboat for most of my life and finally decided to take the trip. I'm sorry I waited so long. I have been going to Canyon Lake for over 25 years but I learned quite a bit from the Captain as he narrated along the way. He was knowledgeable and had a great speaking voice. He was quick to point out the Bighorn Sheep back in the canyon which I would have probably missed on my own. Nice to see some rare wildlife out there. I thought the food was great, just like any backyard barbeque at my own house, except this had excellent service as well (I make everyone fend for themselves in my backyard). I doubt anyone could prepare a better meal on the back of a boat. This cruise also featured an astronomy expert who did an excellent job of talking about the night sky. It made for a little romance after the sun went down. I highly recommend the Dolly Steamboat cruise for locals as well as visitors. It's a great alternative to the regular in-town Saturday night. This would be fun and interesting any day of the week.

My husband and I enjoyed the cruise very much. The captain was very informative, and also Dr. Sky was great. The only thing that makes my review not a 5 star, was the food. My suggestion would be to bring a little better quality in the meat ( and offer either the chicken or the steak , not both.) It wasn't terrible, it was just marginal. The cruise itself was definately a 5 star. |

Dinner is ok, not that you should expect much on a small boat. But the scenery is very beautiful, with views of wildlife and petrified trees. |

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. We celebrated an 81st birthday and both parents had a great time. The food was very good, the service was excellent and the scenery was incredible. The captain has a great sense of humor and adds just enough to make it enjoyable, not too much to be overbearing! The music is a great touch and goes across any age group. This is probably our 3rd trip but we had not been in several years and it's been consistent on every trip. I'd highly recommend it to anyone. |
