| My daughter and I both enjoyed the cruise and the dinner was much better than we anticipated. Filet mignon and grilled chicken, baked potato (generously garnished), steamed vegetable, dinner roll, salad, and apple pie for dessert.
The captain, steamboat crew, and catering staff were all very pleasant and eager to see to it that everyone enjoyed the evening.
The captain provided narration during portions of the cruise which was both interesting and informative but never to the point of distraction. The music was a variety of well chosen selections - some light hearted, some heartwarming, some inspirational, and all of it appropriate.
The canyon proved to be a cool respite from the day's heat and relatively little other boat traffic on the lake; which was quite a surprise because it was a long holiday weekend (4th of July) when we attended.
I wish they would put a new horn on the boat. Instead of having that definite "steamboat hooot-toot" it sounded more like my father's Buick. |

| The cruise was very enjoyable and the help was very nice. The only thing I can say is that I was not impressed with Captain Tom. He had a negative attitude and I noticed he was short with some of the people. He should keep his negative remarks to himself and not share with the customers. I think if he doesn't like his job then he should get another. |

| Service was excellent. We saw bighorn sheep and deer. Please go when the moon is full - the moon fflecting off the water and canyon walls was breathtaking. |

| We were visiting the Phoenix area and wanted something fun to do. This trip really fit the bill. We enjoyed the people on the trip, the crew, and the dinner was delicious and very filling. We'd highly recommend this trip for anyone. |

| My husband and I have wanted to take this evening cruse for quite a while now.
He finally purchased the tickets.. He chose the upper level, for which we were
grateful as it was pretty warm that day. We had a table to ourselves which was very
nice. The Captain would point out highlights and points of interest , that was nice. The food was buffet style which was ok, but the way they had everyone go
thru the buffet line was very good planning. It went table by table so we didn't have
to wait in a long line when our table was released to go thru the food line.
We have family visit from out of state quite often and we are very seriously
thinking of sharing this cruse with them the next time they visit... We really enjoyed our evening and will probably do this agin in the future. Oh I don't want to forget
to mention the crew/staff. They all, were friendly and helpful. Good Service... |

| We took this same dinner cruise about 6 weeks ago...but what a difference 6 weeks in Arizona makes! It was 110 the day we cruised and it couldn't have been more stifling. We were seated on the upper level at the front of the boat, and even though there were windows and breezes now and then, it was just plain hot.
The rest of the trip was still incredible, though...beautiful scenery, entertaining narrative, excellent meal (the filet was a thousand times better than the ribeye of six weeks ago!), and top-notch service. This is still a not-to-be-missed trip! |

| My 86 year old mother who was born in a mining office in Arizona had never been to Canyon lake or the Dolly, so we thought it would be a fun adventure. And from making reservations to the wonderful, happy, and helpful crew, and the great food, the music selections, and the informative and humorous captain Tom, we had a super time. My mom was in a wheelchair and the only problem I found was going back up the long ramp to the parking lot was a bit of a up hill climb but very doable. And I had lots of offers to help. We would like to go again but when its cooler. June is a hot month. When your on the open lake their is a good breeze but in the canyon not so much. Getting through the very tight curvy road in and out is a white knuckle experience, but it is worth it. Just go slow.
Thanks to everyone! We will definately be back. |
