I have recommended this trip to several of my friends already. We loved it even though we went on a holiday weekend. The trip was peaceful and quiet. The captain was knew alot about the Canyon Lake area. The food was great and the boat was clean but the real reason I am recommending this trip to my friends is to get away from the downtown hubbub and bad air. |

I booked this event for my husband's birthday. We are orignally both from Wisconsin, where lakes are plentiful. It was really nice to see and be on the water in AZ, where we live now. It was so relaxing and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this to anyone. |

My husband and I have been talking about taking this cruise for several years now. My husband suddenly remembered this when, two days before our 11 year wedding anniversary, we realized that we did not have any plans! I went into work on Monday and told everyone who would listen about the trip & dinner. You will be seeing my co-workers there shortly! |

What a great evening! We were suprised that you could find such beautiful water related scenary so close to the metro area of Phoenix. Although the road up is a bit adventursome the trip is worth it. A fun ride with lots to see and a fantastic meal followed by a tranquile cruise through amazing canyon walls. Wait until its dark and the stars come out. Try It - You'll Like It! |

The staff were very nice, the food was good. The boat was clean and well maintained. The Canyon was beautiful. |

I scheduled the dinner cruise as a surprise birthday gift for my husband. He loves the lake and was in awe when he realized what I had planned. It was perfect for us, not too many guests on board (Friday) so we had plenty room to move about. It was romantic and fulfilled the purpose I intended. The captain and workers were very customer service oriented and that is something I use to gauge anything I do.
The departure of the boat was on time (or a little early to me) however, I arrived at exactly 5:30pm (last minute my child ran a fever and that chaged my plans) and the boat had already departed. The best thing was, they were looking out for us and came back to the dock to get us........everyone on the boat and at the restaurant clapped as we borded the boat. My husband spent the nigt fighting back tears because this was the best birthday he has had (or that I have ever planned). :-)
We already have friends that want to go!!!!

Ps. Pie was our desert, and I don't eat pie.....so a little cake next time for me would be great!!! |

1. For those with food problems, it's helpful for the catering staff to know the contents of what they serve (eg, I could not have the dessert because the ingredients were unknown and there was only the one dessert).
2. It was supposed to be a buffet which to me means that there is a choice of foods. I can't each beef, so asked for two small pieces of chicken - the server was not all polite about it.
3. We were served very soon after boarding. It seems to me it would be better to be able to enjoy the scenery for a bit - while it's still light. Instead, a lot of our time to enjoy the scenery was in the dark (really hard to take pictures).
4. The captain and the gal were friendly and hospitable. The only thing in regard to the captain would be to have more narration (eg, history of and facts about the boat; greater depth of information about the area, its inhabitants, its vegetation; etc.

The trip was very relaxing for me and my husband, and during the night it became romantic. It made me feel like I was on a first date. All that was missing was dancing. I think it is a great place to bring a first date, because it allows you to sit and talk and get to know one another. I also think it is a great place and setting to propose marriage!!! Especially at night with all the candles lit |
