| With the exception of some confusion about the amt. of wine or beer that we could take aboard the boat for dinner, everything else about this trip was pleasant and fun. The food was filling, but not spectacular. However, the scenery and narrative by the
Captain was very informative and entertaining. Be sure to bring binoculars for each person in your group; its pretty hard to see some of the desert animals without them. Jet skiers and some small race-type boats ruin the serenity at some points, but all in all the experience is well worth the cost, which is about $64/person. The fee is advertised as including tips, but there is a tip jar at the caterer's table. We were advised that we could bring aboard two 12-once beers/person or one small plastic bottle of wine(6 oz only), but we noticed that as the last group of passengers boarded the boat, the captain didn't even check their coolers. We would have preferred to bring aboard one good bottle of wine for our group of four, but were not allowed to do so. No alcohol is served or sold aboard the boat. Plastic or aluminum (beer cans) only. Of course, the drive from wherever you are coming from down through the canyon to get to the lake is spectacular. |

| My husband and I have wanted to take this evening cruse for quite a while now.
He finally purchased the tickets.. He chose the upper level, for which we were
grateful as it was pretty warm that day. We had a table to ourselves which was very
nice. The Captain would point out highlights and points of interest , that was nice. The food was buffet style which was ok, but the way they had everyone go
thru the buffet line was very good planning. It went table by table so we didn't have
to wait in a long line when our table was released to go thru the food line.
We have family visit from out of state quite often and we are very seriously
thinking of sharing this cruse with them the next time they visit... We really enjoyed our evening and will probably do this agin in the future. Oh I don't want to forget
to mention the crew/staff. They all, were friendly and helpful. Good Service... |

| We celebrated Father's Day on the Dolly Steam Boat. Had a Great time! the weather was a little hot, but very worth it. Dinner was very good as well!
Boat was nice, but could tell it is quite dated. Maybe you could pour a little more money in to it and make it a real classy ride. Bathrooms were kinda gross. |

| What a great trip up the canyon, quite and beautiful, saw lots of wildlife out for the night. It was great...
One suggestion! change your music to just background easy listening with out vocals, takes away from the trip... |

| Even though the website said that tickets sell out quickly, after ordering tickets, we were informed that the cruise was cancelled due to low ticket sells. Very disappointing, since we were only in the area for a few days and couldn't reschedule. |

| This twilight dinner cruise on the Dolly Steamboat was much more enjoyable than expected! We had been given tickets as gifts last Christmas by one of our sons and his wife; however, kept putting off the experience as we were busy with other things. We finally arranged to go last Saturday evening. We found everything well-organized and the crew very friendly and accommodating. The buffet -style meal was excellent. Because we are an older couple, one of the crew members offered to go down to the lower deck and bring our food up to us! Later, we learned that this thoughtful person was filling in for another crew member who could not work that evening, and that he was the alternate captain! We visited with him somewhat during the cruise and learned a lot about the history of Canyon Lake and the surrounding area. We are looking forward to taking this cruise again in the near future. |
