My husband and I took the twilight dinner cruise for our anniversary, and we were VERY, VERY pleased.
Okay, so it's not exactly 5 star cuisine, so if that's what you're after, keep looking. BUT, the scenery, the service and staff and the trip as a whole were absolutely fabulous! The meal is MORE than enough food, though, as I said, you won't exactly be asking for recipes.
But for the price, you can't beat this trip. Two and a half hours on the lake, through the canyons, enjoying the solitude and beauty of it all as the sun went down---for about $50 per person, with dinner incuded. You can't beat a bargain like that and the experience was wonderful.
The staff are fun-loving and make you feel right at home on the boat. The boat itself is clean and comfortable---and just about the perfect size for this type of journey.
We'll do it again, but this time, we're bringing the kids, too! |

This is an activity everyone can enjoy . It's a nice change of pace from "city activities" and is within pretty easy commute reach. I am not sure I would take the dinner cruise again as it was a little distracting from the amazing views and surroundings...who wants to eat dinner when there's so much to see?!?. I've taken both cruises and enjoyed the 90-minute cruise more for this reason. |

Love the slow calm pace of the boat. The food was excellent. The staff provided a worry free evening and made the evening a pleasure. We saw bighorn sheep which was a treat. Would recommend the evening dinner cruise whole heartly!!! |

Big horn sheep were very cooperative and showed themselves several times. We've done this cruise many times with various friends we've brought along. As always, we were very pleased with everything!!!! |

The view from the top deck was wonderful. The dinner and the descriptions of the canyon and the wild life was fantastic. We will be back for sure! |

This was a wonderful thing to do with out of town family.
The food was adequate. The group in charge of the boat were very organized
and informative and the Captain made the event quite entertaining.
We saw big horn sheep and many beautiful birds.
It would be so much more enjoyable without the wait in line for the boarding passes.
Given you must prepay, it would be more pleasant to print a boarding pass at home
and not have the frantic begining to such a lovely evening.
We were disappointed that we did not get seated where we requested.
Still, a wonderful event. |

After reading some of the recent reviews we honestly did not want to get our hopes up.
We had prepared ourselves to get lost, be subjected to inadequate customer service, poor quality food and unimpressive narration during the trip. WRONG WRONG WRONG!!! I have lived in AZ for over 28 years and thought I had been everywhere and done everything there was to do. THIS WAS A WONDERFUL TREAT!!! From the moment we drove up until we returned to our car we received nothing but far above average service. We had thought that since it was Memorial Day weekend there might have been problems. On the contrary. This group of professionals works magic on this cruise. We arrived about an hour and a half early but were able to sit under an awning, eating ice cream until the tour window opened. We got exactly the seat we requested but I think anywhere on the boat would be fine. Our captain (Captain TOM) was beyond words. The man is a pure delight! Full of information and stories which were easy to hear and understand. The music he chose was relaxing and clever (Pirates of the Caribbean Theme). I'm sure everyone appreciated the consideration he displayed regarding making sure both sides of the boat could view geologic features and the desert bighorn sheep. We were expecting the food to be average at best. It was great!!! Plenty to drink, plenty of ice. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. We had prime rib done perfectly .......we've paid much more which tasted much worse. The salad was pretty plain but did the job. The apple pie was yummy and finished the meal just right. This crew of folks worked their fingers off!!! They are to be congratulated!!! I feel like this cruise is a well kept secret we had the fortune to discover! Thank you for such a wonderful evening. We are hoping to take the astronomy tour sometime soon! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! |
