| Although I grew up in the valley, I have not been out to Canyon Lake for at least 10 years. My husband and I took my parents for their anniversary along with our 4 year old son. We all enjoyed the dinner cruise. The food (steak and chicken grilled onboard) was delicious and the staff was excellent. Captain Jeff provided the right amount of narration during the cruise, without over doing it. He let our son "steer" the boat for a few minutes which made his night! If you are going with children under 12...by law they WILL have to wear a life jacket . So if your child has never worn one you may want to get your hands on one early to "practice" so it will not be a struggle on board. We had one at home that my son was able to wear around for awhile so when he got to the boat it was not a big deal.
We would all definately recommend the Dolly Dinner Cruise and plan to return in the future! |

| The cruise was very relaxing, the food was moderate. Very friendly crew. Our seating was excellent. We would definitely take the dinner cruise again were it not for the distance, and the last 14 miles on the Apache Trail. Approaching the destination wasn't too bad, coming back, in the dark, with no shoulder or guard rails was a bit unnerving. It was a bit pricey. I only eat chicken, and chose not to get the pasta entre for the same price. Perhaps the vegetarian selection should be a lower amount? |

| The scenery on the dinner cruise was absolutely breath taking. The food was excellent, much better than I expected, and the staff was very friendly. Once it got dark though it was just long. Nothing to see and it seemed as if we were traveling much slower. I would recommend going on this once especially if you are unfamiliar with the area lakes as we were. |

| The Captain was personable, pointing out wildlife and telling funny stories. Food was great, although menu said pasta primavera for the veggie selection and what I got was spaghetti, but it was great. The cruise is 2.5 hours long, and we thought 2 would have been better - we got a bit bored after dark. |

| With the exception of some confusion about the amt. of wine or beer that we could take aboard the boat for dinner, everything else about this trip was pleasant and fun. The food was filling, but not spectacular. However, the scenery and narrative by the
Captain was very informative and entertaining. Be sure to bring binoculars for each person in your group; its pretty hard to see some of the desert animals without them. Jet skiers and some small race-type boats ruin the serenity at some points, but all in all the experience is well worth the cost, which is about $64/person. The fee is advertised as including tips, but there is a tip jar at the caterer's table. We were advised that we could bring aboard two 12-once beers/person or one small plastic bottle of wine(6 oz only), but we noticed that as the last group of passengers boarded the boat, the captain didn't even check their coolers. We would have preferred to bring aboard one good bottle of wine for our group of four, but were not allowed to do so. No alcohol is served or sold aboard the boat. Plastic or aluminum (beer cans) only. Of course, the drive from wherever you are coming from down through the canyon to get to the lake is spectacular. |

| We had a very enjoyable evening for the most part. I am hesitant to recommend it because I would never pay what it cost for what we got. We went as a gift from friends. We were shaded almost entirely. We had the perfect amount of sun and darkness. Mid May requires fans however and we felt a bit stuffy. Any hotter and we would have been uncomfortable. We saw big horned sheep and some huge birds. The captain gave just the right amount of narration. He was able to point out many interesting things. We enjoyed much quiet time visiting as well. The food was surprisingly good. We were all filled. The meat was cooked on an open grill and was very tasty. The salad could have used croutons or something other than opening a bag but I sure ate it all up anyways! The baked potatoes were perfectly done as well as the veggies. The pie tasted like a good store bought pie. It was really a yummy meal. Part way through our meal, stinky water started dripping on us from the ceiling. We made the captain aware and he said he would investigate. 20 minutes later it was just dripping more. We asked 2 other people for a solution and finally found out that a leaky ice machine overhead was not given the proper care and they corrected it but that the water was already in the ceiling. Sorry! There were no available tables to move us to and nobody attempted at another solution. We asked them to put chairs up on the deck for us and we would sit there. They seemed to then forget about us and we needed to remind them that we were interested in dessert. We were disappointed in their response to our problem which was there problem actually. They may have been a bit understaffed for anything out of the ordinary. All in all, we had a good time. We've done it now and will not likely do it again. |

| The perfect way to spend an evening. The crew was professional, curteous, helpful, and accomodating. The boat left on time and returned on time. Captain Jeff was the best. Food was very good with plenty to eat. |

| This is such a fun, restful and relaxing activity. Well, I guess you can't really call it an activity because you sit and eat dinner while the boat does all the work. The food was scrumptous. Ribeye AND chicken, salad, baked potatoe, corn, roll, apple pie and beverage. The serve staff brought beverages around as they dismissed us to go to the buffett. We ate while the canyon walls reflected the change in the sun's position. We watched for wild animals and native birds. The captain kept us apprised of local lore while pointing out features of the lake and canyons. As the sun dropped lower into the horizon, so did our innate stress levels. We found ourselves reveling in the beauty of Canyon Lake at night. |

| Me and my wife had not been to this area in 18 years. We flew in that same day and we were pressed for time. If you go on this cruise make sure to give yourself plenty of time to take in the sights on the drive to Canyon Lake and even though the road is paved,it has some hairpin turns. When booking this cruise, ask for seats in the back of the boat and on the upper deck. Some of the other passengers came back and stood because of the veiws and the breeze. The food on the dinner cruise was great and serving sizes were fine. I definitely would recommend this cruise for dates and special occasions. |
