Very dirty Lake (lots of trash, mirky waters), geriatric crowd on the twilight dinner cruise. Food was ok (not great), staff extremely friendly and very attentive (if it were not for the staff, would have scored 2/5 stars. Star gazing was nice, but pretty pitch dark for last 30 minutes of cruise. Pretty expensive for what they offer. |

It was the most relaxing and enjoyable 2 1/2 hours spent. The food was great, the view was undescribeable and the ship crew were very friendly and knowledgeable. |

We went on the Sunset Dinner Cruise with Captain Tom. We definitely would go again. We like his naration and description of what we were seeing. The filet mignon was just right and the setting could not have been better. While it was dark when we returned, that did not spoil the cruise. |

This was one of the most fun things me and my boyfriend have done together! The food was EXCELLENT and the scenery was amazing. We were sat at our own table, which was nice because it probably wouldn't have been as enjoyable if another couple was sitting with us. We were able to enjoy each others company as well as enjoy a wonderful meal together. The commentary from the capitan was wonderful and not overdone because there was music in between and it was very romantic to just be on a boat and enjoy the sunset together.
The only thing I was not expecting was that you have to get up and get your own food (in a buffet style) but it wasn't that big of a deal seeing as it was done in a very orderly fashion and handled quite well. One suggestion I would have would be to have a photographer aboard to take pictures and offer them as gifts, to purchase of course, at the end of the night. I know we're allowed to bring our cameras and everything like that, but I just thought it would have been a neat addition to have that option, and then if we wanted to purchase them you could do it online and have a website for it.
Other than that, everything was perfect! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great date idea or a group date situation! I wouldn't really recommend this as an event to bring small children to. Seeing as the atmosphere was calm and romantic, to have a baby or kids screaming or running around would have kind of ruined it for me. I would recommend the day cruise for kids. This trip was about two and a half hours so it may be too long for little ones. I highly highly highly recommend this to anyone looking for a GREAT time! |

I have previously enjoyed the dinner cruise and thought it would be perfect for our out of town company to enjoy. Even though I booked well in advance hoping for the upper deck of the boat, we were greatly disappointed to find out there was a wedding reception on board. The party had secured most of the upper deck which left us all down below and many other passengers besides ourselves were not happy. They also caused us to leave 15 minutes late. I would suggest that you call the Dolly office and confirm there is not a wedding party or large group on board. The food was good and the staff friendly, but unfortunately overall we were all disappointed. |

This could have been a truly lovely experience. We were highly disappointed that we were not informed there would be a wedding party on the upper deck. (We would have cancelled eight reservations had we known.)They had not chartered the entire boat so they used the PA system. I didn't care to listen to their toasts, etc. Some of their party was late in arriving and the boat waited for them. I thought that highly unfair as we missed out on some daylight exploring.
The crew was excellent and the food was phenomenal! This was our second trip on the Dolly and I was anticipating it being as good as the first one. It didn't live up to my expectations. But I was miffed by the twenty minute delay in starting the trip. |

My sister came down from Ohio, where it was 32 degrees and snow and looking for some warm weather and a nice vacation. We took her on your Dolly Steamboat Dinner Cruise. We had not been on this cruise, so this was a first for all of us. The views were breathtaking and the dinner was excepionaly good.. We grade this at a 10+ and would recommend it to all our friends and family...Thank you for such a wonderful evening, we will never forget it....John, Dolly & JoAnn. |
