| The entire adventure was great fun. The Dolly Steamboat crew was very friendly and accommodating. The captain of the ship shared his love of Canyon Lake and Steely Dan (ask him). He was very engaging and added a nice touch to the overall experience. The boat was clean and well-maintained. The drive to the lake was beautiful as was the lake itself. The popcorn was dee lish.
My wife purchased tix on-line a few days prior to the event and made a mistake, buying tix for Saturday instead of Friday. She called and left a message, hoping to change the date. She told me that the web site said "all sales final" and to plan on going Saturday, saying it would probably take an act of God to get the days switched.
The next day we got a confirmation email and phone call stating that the date was changed. Very cool. |

| It was a great way for my wife and I to spend some quality time with our daughter. The cruise on Canyon Lake was informative and beautiful. Even though the weather was a little cool, the atmosphere on the cruise ship was warm and friendly. We would recommend it to people of any age. |

| Our first visit to Canyon Lake, and we would recommend a cruise on the Dolly without reservation. The crew was most cordial, and the naration by the Captain was most informative. It truly is Arizona's "Junior Grand Canyon." |

| The ride was very pleasant and comfortable. The scenery around Canyon Lake is outstanding as you meander around various bends in the lake. The Captain and crew were very attentive and customer-oriented. |

| This sternwheeler steamboat cruise takes you into the back country of Tonto National Forest. Captain Tom makes plenty of stops, and explains geological, biological, historical and amusing features of Canyon Lake. For instance, along the way, we saw Bach and his organ, bat caves, a mammoth and two native women guarding Canyon Lake. Captain Tom had a story for them all. (In fact, thanks to this great cruise, we found ourselves seeing characters and shapes in other landforms we encountered while touring Arizona.) The tour was also interactive and informative; Captain Tom had us ask Bach to play his organ, and asked us questions about what we might be seeing. He took genuine interest in his passengers and related personal stories with us where conversation allowed. Perhaps my favorite feature of Canyon Lake was the wall of geodes and petrified trees, seen end-on, near the turn-around point of the cruise.
We took the tour in November on a calm day. The boat was clean and, on our cruise, comfortably uncrowded. Compared to other attractions we visited, the cruise was relaxing. We had a fun time and took the opportunity of sitting-while-touring to really see the sights and learn the stories. We took plenty of photos which will complement the memories we made. |

Couple on a Date |
| The one thing i did not like and will probably be the reason we don't do it again i had tickets that i bought in advance but walk ons were able to go on board as special needs, so i wound up with a lousy location, this should be seating like the dinner cruise does, reserved so you get a good spot . |

Very nice cruise except for the speaker sound.

Couple on a Date |
| I took this cruise for a date that I planned for my girlfriend. We both love nature and doing activities outside so this was a perfect get away for an afternoon. The drive was very nice only about an hour and a half from downtown phoenix. Canyon Lake and its surrounding were breath-taking and the whole place was beautiful. I only had a few complaints throughout the trip. One being the lines and waiting to get your boarding pass. It didn't take very long but other people who had come that day as walk ons got to recieve their passes before others there who are made reservations, thus getting to board sooner. In the end it didn't make much of a difference because I still got the spot on the Dolly that I wanted. The cruise was a very smooth ride and road up very close to the sides of mountains so that you could see every little detail. The only other problem was not the narration but the speaker quality. From where I was seated and moving around at, which was the lower level back near the engine, you couldn't make out what he was saying or you would have to get very close to the speakers. This wasn't an issue inside whenever I went in but outside there was no point in trying to listen to it. Besides these small things this trip was wonderful and I would highly recemmend it, |

| We (friends and family) had a great time. Before our 2:00 PM cruise, we enjoyed lunch at the cantina, next door. Good, polite service and we had no complaints about the food.
The cruise was well organized. The Captain (narrator) was knowledgeable, polite and had the perfect voice for narration. The scenery was an amatuer photographer's dream. The mood was calm and relaxed.
The only thing missing was wildlife. Perhaps it was due to the time of year or the time of day, but it was missed.
