| The boat ride was very relaxing and just long enough. The captain was funny making it more pleasurable. He pointed out the wild life when he saw it. He also explained the wild life you can see on any given day. I was with family and they thoroughly enjoyed it. Also snacks can be purchased . I am not sure how many people the boat holds, however, my guess is 130 or so with upper and lower deck. There is also a washroom on board. . Life jackets are a must for children and are provided with instruction. I would definately take the cruise again.

| Visiting our son and his wife who live in Gold Canyon gave us the opportunity to take the cruise with them on Canyon Lake. It was a beautiful day in March. The scenery is gorgeous in the canyon and we were fortunate to see a few long horn sheep high on a cliff. It was a very enjoyable cruise and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. |

| My only complaint is that while we were seated on the left hand side of the boat and a viewing of mountain sheep came up on our side the captain immediately turned the boat for the other side to see them, taking them from our side and then only pointing out things on the right side of the boat the whole tour. Things that could have been pointed out to our side on the way out were not pointed out until the way back when once again it was the right side of the boat he was accomodating. We felt deprived of points of interest. |

| The views were beautiful, and the ride was calm and relaxing. The highlight was seeing the mountain goats at the top of the mountain. A couple of other things were pointed out about the cactus and the skyline, but 80% of the ride was not narrated. The day that our family went, the captain was being interviewed by a camera crew, which may explain the lack of narration. Even after the interview was over, there was no narration. We also turned around early, before we reached the end of the lake, about 30-35 minutes into the ride.
Overall, it was a nice ride, but it was not the "narrated nature cruise" that we had expected. |

| I had taken the cruise on Canyon Lake before and recommended it to my friend visiting from Germany. We took the tour together and she was absolutely thrilled. |

| Both our groups of Independent and Assisted living elders really enjoyed our afternoons on the Dolly Steamboat. Sierra Pointe has been taking our residents for years and the quality never waivers. Although many of our residents have been many times, they keep signing up year after year! |

| We were caught behind a boat that was being transferred to the marina. We were late getting to the boat due to the traffic stop. We didn't know until we arrived that the boat knew there were delays and waited. We expected we would have missed the trip. We were thankful. |

| The actual boat ride & crew were GREAT! It is a beautiful ride on the boat & the scenry is unbeatable! Having the crew point out the big sheep on the cliffs above was extra special for all of us. I think the Captain and the 2 other crew members were the best anyone could find for this boat ride.
My only suggestion would be to improve on the ticketing process. By just having the passengers check in on line with their confirmation # to print the boarding passes & then present them in line as they arrive to see if they have a full load for the ride. They should arrive no later than 20 mins. prior to boarding. If they are not there on time, sell tickets to other people coming who wish to purchase tickets. This way you have your pass & can board as the numbers are called.
This activity is well worth the money and ones time. It is just a wonderful boat ride & excellent information about the lake and area. Bring a camera & binoculars. Your pictures are just a great way to remember all the fun & scenry.
Thank you so much! |

| This is a must for anyone who likes to view the grandeur of nature in comfort. Two couples of us came here from Austin, Texas for Spring Training baseball games and this was a side trip because we had extra time. It was agreed by the four of us that this was one of the best parts of our trip. Texas hill country is great but it pales compared to Canyon Lake tour. This is a six ****** star attraction. Be sure and bring your camera and your binoculars. |
