My wife and I had been wanting to take a ride on Dolly for 5 years. It was long overdue. We really enjoyed the ride, narration, and the the guides help on deck. The passangers were considered the whole trip, from the guide pointing to specific sites to having drinking water available (very hot day). The trip itself was exciting yet relaxing. I would recommend this to anyone.

The ride on the Dolly Steamboat was very interesting. The captain told of points of interest while we rode and relaxed on the boat.

A nice trip but the boat is slow. All children ages 12 and under must wear a life jacket, this did not go over well with my 12 year old daughter. As we were pulling back into the dock on our return, she began to loosen straps and was firmly approached by an attendant that she could not take off the jacket until the boat was tied up at the dock. I perfectly understand the need for safety but I thought this was too much. The canyon is beautiful but for the little ones there is not much excitment. I had purchased binoculars for all the kids so they could look for the animals. We did see a few sheep. The scenery to the marina was just as pretty as the boat trip. Glad I went but no need to return.

My husband and I with our adult son and his wife enjoyed the cruise. Although it was August and HOT, the shaded top deck was cooler and there was a breeze so the heat wasn't a problem on the boat. We saw blue herons and turkey buzzards, but no sheep or mule deer. The rock formations and desert vegetation was enjoyable and the crew members were friendly and willing to answer questions. The lambing season seems to be Feb. thru April and when sheep are visible more regularly. I think we'd go again at that time and try the dinner cruise. We were staying on the west side of Phoenix in Peoria so it was an all day excursion with travel time there and back. If you want to guarantee seeing animals, then I'd suggest visiting a zoo.

This was 90 minutes well spent. The scenary was beautiful, and the contrast of desert plants and cactus with the beautiful blue of the lake was fascinating. Very nice way to spend the day.

Great trip, our 5 year old grandson really enjoyed it! We've been on the cruise before with relatives from out of state (MN.) in April and they really enjoyed it! However, wouldn't recommend doing it in August. Great tour, thanks!
