This 90 minute Nature Cruise was very enjoyable and relaxing. Captain Tom was such a gracious host and speaker...oh and he even navigated the boat well !
The only thing that could have enhanced this trip was if lunch was offered. I know there are bookings for the Nature Cruise lunch...however when perusing the website for the Nature Cruise with lunch, there were hardly any to be found. My guests that were in from the East Coast did enjoy this cruise..but lunch on board Dollys Steamboat would have ben a kick up ! |

We have now lived in Arizona for 6 years and are always finding new places to spend time. We (by accident) heard about the Dolly Steamboat Cruise on Canyon Lake. OH MY GOSH! It IS as beautiful as they say. (The seating on the boat is extremely comfortable. That's unusual). Bring a camera. My husband took 200 pics on his digital. Of course you don't have to take all that many, but it gives you an idea of the amount of beauty and diversity you'll see on this cruise. The Captain gave just enough history and lighthearted humor, but left enough "quiet time", with soft music piped in the background, so you could enjoy what you were seeing. Don't miss this trip to Canyon Lake. Of the various waterways we've been to out here, my husband and I have decided to make this our new "weekend getaway". There is a marina restaurant, plenty of parking, lots of trees and grass.....and cactus. Fishing, boating, picnicking. We drove over 1 hour to get here and will do it often. If you enjoy it half as much as we did, you'll be going back too. |

We are a group of friends from the Midwest who never thought about taking a boat trip on a lake near Phoenix. The winding roads to the lake were an experience all on their own. The lake and towering canyon walls were impressive. But best of all was the wildlife we saw: deer, turkey vultures, and a herd of sheep. |

My adult daughter and I spent a glorious hour and a half cruising slowly along the Canyon Lake on a recent holiday. It was the most relaxed we'd been in over a year. What a joy to cruise blissfully along while being informed of the nature surrounding us as we glided in the sunshine totally oblivious to work and life beyond the lake at that moment.
The crew was great, the captain jovial and informative, the boat smooth and the weather was perfect! We even had a performance by Bach! This was an adventure we were happy we chose and would do it again readily upon a return to Arizona in future.
It is a reasonably priced and visually stimulating for anyone of any age! The best thing is that someone else was driving so you could relax and see and enjoy your time aboard the Dolly Paddleboat cruise. Highly recommend it!!!! Enjoy! |

The address given is inncorrect in being located with the use of a GPS. We spent 20 minutes trying to figure out what to do and we missd the tour. We called the agency when we had cell service. We were given verbal directions and told we would need to come the following day and buy another set of tickets. Needless to say, we were extremely turned off by the bad customer service and we didn't return. |

Prior to our trip to Copper Canyon in Mexico, two couples of us wanted some time to relax the day before we left on the long bus trip to Mexico, We found the 90 minute narrated trip on the Dolly very relaxing and enjoyable. The weather was perfect and the commentary most enjoyable. |
