| Dolly & her crew greeted us warmly upon boarding her and we were promptly underway. Canyon Lake is a desert jewel and we were both looking forward to the promise of beauty and the possibilities of wildlife sightings.
We were not disappointed.
Dolly took us on a slow stroll atop the calm water back into heart of the lake. Stone formations returned our stares; dark traces of rain fed waterfalls littered the canyon walls and I could easily imagine being here during a rainstorm to witness the multiple dozens of waterfalls in full bloom.
There weren't any bighorn sheep curious enough to make themselves visible to us on this day. There was, however, a magnificent bald eagle who decided to wow us with his impeccable self. Settling himself on the tallest outcropping from the clifftop he seemed to be content to watch the humans float by, all wearing those funny binoculars on their eyes!
All the while the Captain kept us informed & entertained over the PA, bringing our attention to other points of interest along the way. There's nothing like a little bit of forced relaxation and the Dolly Steamboat was a gratifying way to spend 90 minutes. I recommend it to newcomers and locals alike. |

| Very informative. Don't like that I had to create a user name, etc to give feedback. |

| The lake and surrounding canyon was beautiful and well-narrated. There was not so much narration that the peace and tranquility of the lake and canyon could not be enjoyed, but when needed passengers were directed to look at wildlife and rock formations. We would highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting the area. There is also a great restaurant at the dock with friendly locals, great food, and beverages. |

| I have lived in Arizona 31 years. I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to tour Canyon Lake. I plan on going back every chance I get :) |

| It was a great way for my wife and I to spend some quality time with our daughter. The cruise on Canyon Lake was informative and beautiful. Even though the weather was a little cool, the atmosphere on the cruise ship was warm and friendly. We would recommend it to people of any age. |

| The Dolly cruise at 2:00 pm on Saturday, Oct. 31 was outstanding. Captain Tom had just the right mix of music and history/description of the lake. The crew members were pleasant, helpful, and courteous. I will recommend the cruise for anyone visiting the area. Thank you, Bill Voorhees |

| We took this tour on February 3rd.
The boat was clean and the staff was friendly.
The scenery was spectacular. I stopped taking pictures about half way through. I don't think my camera could do it justice. I just wanted to sit back and watch the scenery go by.
Don''t forget your binoculars! That will enhance your experience immeasurably. |

| Everything was great -- from the wonderful drive out to the dock on!
I especially like the "board by #" - it avoids the stampede for the best seats.
Only negative comment is the statement to be there 30 minutes before boarding - and there's no one in the ticket office! But the prior cruise showed up 25 minutes before, so things went OK.
The lake is beautiful - the commentary very good. The staff was friendly, and helpful. One word of warning - if you set up front, you have trouble hearing the commentary for the wind and bow splash.
All in all - a very relaxing 1-1/2 hours. |
