My 10 year old grandson was visiting from CT Narrated Nature Cruise on Canyon Lake

I had seen the boat but never done the trip. I thought my grandson would enjoy it and he really did. The captain's narration added to the fun. He was careful to point out wildlife and move the boat close to shore to see the group of big horn sheep. I would do the dinner cruise with a group of adults in the future.

My wife and I decided on the spur of the moment to take the cruise and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The scenery is beautiful and the ship's crew members were very friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend it. As a bonus for us, Kelly Ripa, (Regis & Kelly) her husband and family were passengers on our cruise.

I took my 86 year old mother and her friend up from Tucson for the dinner cruise. Of course, the scenery was fabulous...can't change that!! The cruise itself was very enjoyable. We did the astronomy cruise due to date of our trip, not by choice, but it was certainly interesting and educational for all of us. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially to my mother and her friend. They (and I) appreciated the extra assistance they were given. The food was good overall, except the chicken was overcooked. I think it was last time, as well. That may be due to bacteria concerns, but it was so dry it was difficult to cut, which seems a little overkill! My steak was great, not overcooked. It's a really good meal, especially considering you are out on a boat. Good job! I would recommend..and have...the dinner cruise to anyone. It's a beautiful setting and the crew are so nice and helpful. It's something that can be done more than once and there's always something new to enjoy. Even my mother's friend...who is a bit difficult to please, shall we please...did enjoy herself. Thank you.

My 86 year old mother who was born in a mining office in Arizona had never been to Canyon lake or the Dolly, so we thought it would be a fun adventure. And from making reservations to the wonderful, happy, and helpful crew, and the great food, the music selections, and the informative and humorous captain Tom, we had a super time. My mom was in a wheelchair and the only problem I found was going back up the long ramp to the parking lot was a bit of a up hill climb but very doable. And I had lots of offers to help. We would like to go again but when its cooler. June is a hot month. When your on the open lake their is a good breeze but in the canyon not so much. Getting through the very tight curvy road in and out is a white knuckle experience, but it is worth it. Just go slow. Thanks to everyone! We will definately be back.

This is the second time we have taken The Dolly. We had relatives visiting from Kansas and thought this would be a nice, fun and relaxing outing to let them see what a desert lake is all about. They loved the scenery and formations and being on The Dolly. We highly recomend this trip, young children don't really have much fun and we had a couple of crying babies and toddlers who almost got to be too much. That is to be expected and we understand that, but maybe families with small children should think twice before correlling them in such small quarters and plus the fact they had to wear life jackets which they did not like. I took my Deaf students on the tour & we all loved it! One cannot truly appreciate the lake fully without seeing the grand views from Steamboat Dolly as she glides you through the beautiful canyons. The narration was very informative and intensely fascinating! I recommend this tour for all ages!!!

My daughter and I enjoyed the leisurely cruise on beautiful Canyon Lake. The ongoing commentary by the captain added much to the trip. Here you can admire the high canyon walls and feel as if you are miles from civilization.

I took my Mother out for the day. We both very much enjoyed the trip,! It was 90-minutes of beautiful scenery and interesting nature facts. The staff was knowlegable, friendly and helpful. I highly reccomend this trip to anyone- from native Arizonians to visitors! Thanks for a great afternoon! My only suggestion is there could be a few more signs on the way- we thought we may have missed it- but we got there! We had a wonderful afternoon! Thanks again! A happy Mother -Daughter day!

Capt Tom and his crew were GREAT!! They were there to answer questions and direct the guest to wild life on the mountainsides. Capt Tom spoke about the native history of Canyon Lake and Mormon Dam. There isn't a bad seat on the two decked paddle boat. This was my second time and I will definitely return!

The dinner and the view was very nice. We were all disappointed because Jan told us that we had the upper level out from under the cover and we were all sat down stairs.... I believe if we all new this we would have rescheduled another time...

So beautiful and relaxing. The narration was so informative and the background music just perfect. Arizona is such a beautiful state and Canyon Lake and the Dolly Steamboat show off the state's beauty perfectly. We have lived here for 10 years and this was our first trip , won't be the last!

I read about your nature cruise in the Tribune and was very glad to hear about it. I thought it was done perfectly!!! The captain was very knowledgeable and gave great informative information but not too much. The music was very appropriate and the crew couldn't be more helpful. The only suggestion I would have is I think you should have a better variety of foods for your customers, especially the noon cruise. We had a wonderful time.
