Intersting trip around Canyon Lake

| It seems odd to take a cruise on a lake in the middle of the desert but that's what the Dolly Steamboat does. The cruise is a leisurely ninety minute trip along some of the lake's coastline. The staff is very helpful and knowledgable. The commentary is fresh and informative. Seat yourself on the starboard (right) side of the boat and you will see most of the sights. | We had visitors from California and wanted to take them someplace that was not too far from our house (we live in Queen Creek). We ordered the tickets on-line, which I recommend. The directions were easy and the whole process was simple. The cruise was very well organized. It started on time and ended on time. The crew was very accommodating. There were many people in wheel chairs. Captain Tom was very good. Great sense of humor and very informed. The trip itself was beautiful. Very relaxing. Our guests really enjoyed themselves. During the year, we have lots of guests so we plan on doing this trip regularly. Thank you. | ||||||

| Recommended for everyone. Our group came up from Tucson, hiked the Tonto National Monument in the AM, drove the Apache Trail, and then had a wonderful cruise on Canyon Lake! Old and young alike loved the cruise, the wildlife, the informative captain, the photo ops and the wonderful weather. | ||||||

| The four of us, (all adults), found the Dolly steamboat trip relaxing, interesting, & informative. The captain gave narration on the rock formations, how they were formed, & the interesting minerals contained, on & in, the rock itself. He discussed the history of the lake area, the dam , & included the dimensions, & depth of the waters, within the lake. He discussed the wildlife in the region, & we were lucky to see a herd of desert bighorn, close to the water. He also discussed the different types of vegetation, from cacti varities,( & how to differentiate), to palo verde trees, & various bushes. We thought everyone was very professional & helpful. We all enjoyed the peaceful trip, on a beautiful , warm, sunny day. | ||||||

| We are just retired and came to Arizona for the month of March. (We live in Canada where it is very cold this year) Was suggested that we take in the tour on this lake or the other tour. We booked everything via phone with no problems, the staff person we talked with sent all info via email promptly and was very polite and curtious. Some of our other friends have booked the same tour after we had told them about it. Would recomend this to others as well. Thank you and God willing will be back to Arizona next year. | When one considers a visit to the desert, one never imagines beauty like is seen on the Canyon Lake cruise - the scenery is spectacular and the boat staff cordial and attentive to detail, especially the safety of their passengers - I'd recommend this cruise to everyone that visits the Sonorian desert | ||||||

| Very nice. Food was very good and better than I expected. I really enjoyed being inside on the upper deck. The ability to close the windows when the breeze was too much or too cool was very nice. We went in March and would recommend you bring a jacket as it can get cool on the water. Overall a very good experience and I would recommend it to others. | ||||||

| It wasn't clear to us that you did not wish us to bring food or drink. Since it was a noon cruise, that might have been more clearly stated, and we would have complied. other than that, we enjoyed ourselves very much. Friendly staff makes it nice. Rosemarie Mechel | ||||||

| This was a well organized excursion from the loading to the exit from the boat. You were given nunbers to board based on your arrival. the narrated cruise was clear and easy to follow. The scenery was exquisite and a reminder of our Michigan water. | ||||||
