We were a group of 5, in our 50's. All of us thoroughly enjoyed the tour with breathtaking scenery, views of the bighorn sheep, the music that periodically floated through the air, and the informative history, background of the lake/area.

I think this trip is more for the over 40 set. I teach high school and i think my students would not appreciate the trip. If you have teenagers let them stay at the resort and relax their way-this would put them to sleep. The trip boasted of wildlife sitings and all we saw was one herd of mountain sheep. I was hoping for the bald eagle.

Nine years ago, while visiting my sister and brother-in-law in Gilbert, we vacationed here from Illinois. We took this cruise and really enjoyed it. Now, as residents ourselves, we brought along neighbors who aren't as lucky as us to live here year around. We couldn't stop talking about the cruise. The scenery was outstanding, the trip was relaxing and educational and even seeing the wildlife was amazing. I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone and we're all hoping we can make it back as a group to also enjoy the dinner cruise. We have visitors coming and this will be one place that will be on our list of "must do's". Thank you for an enjoyable Sunday afternoon.

We loved the cruise. The Dolly Steamboat was lovely. Check-in, boarding and table assignment were a breeze. The staff was knowledgable, attentive and good-humored. The food was delicious. Best of all, the scenery was spectacular. A wonderful way to spend an evening.

We enjoyed the cruise far more than we anticipated. We were seated on time and the captain and crew did everything possible to make the evening enjoyable. We appreciated learning about the canyon and having a naturalist on board added a great deal. The meal was excellent; prepared and served well. The end of March or early April is a perfect time to enjoy this event since the wildflowers lining the canyon walls are in full bloom and daylight hours are extended.

The whole experience was delightful! From checking in to the end, everyone was friendly and helpful. The food was great and plentiful. The narration was interesting in learning about the lake. We sat on the top just outside the covered area. Take a warm jacket! The temp is always cooler on the water and especially at night. We had requested to be under the cover but they weren't able to accommodate that. We had perfect weather for late March, and were absolutely thrilled with the experience. We cruised part of the time in the darkness of night. We loved it. The stars were shining bright, and we could see running lights of other boaters and lanterns of campers. We saw some Turkey vultures, a Red-tail hawk and a Bald eagle flew past as we were departing the dock. Cool! A few bats flew overhead for a couple of minutes at about dusk. Fun! We'll take a daytime cruise next year to see more of the lake. Go! You'll love it!

We were caught behind a boat that was being transferred to the marina. We were late getting to the boat due to the traffic stop. We didn't know until we arrived that the boat knew there were delays and waited. We expected we would have missed the trip. We were thankful.
Ticket Purchasing/Boarding Passes Narrated Nature Cruise on Canyon Lake

The actual boat ride & crew were GREAT! It is a beautiful ride on the boat & the scenry is unbeatable! Having the crew point out the big sheep on the cliffs above was extra special for all of us. I think the Captain and the 2 other crew members were the best anyone could find for this boat ride. My only suggestion would be to improve on the ticketing process. By just having the passengers check in on line with their confirmation # to print the boarding passes & then present them in line as they arrive to see if they have a full load for the ride. They should arrive no later than 20 mins. prior to boarding. If they are not there on time, sell tickets to other people coming who wish to purchase tickets. This way you have your pass & can board as the numbers are called. This activity is well worth the money and ones time. It is just a wonderful boat ride & excellent information about the lake and area. Bring a camera & binoculars. Your pictures are just a great way to remember all the fun & scenry. Thank you so much!

This is a must for anyone who likes to view the grandeur of nature in comfort. Two couples of us came here from Austin, Texas for Spring Training baseball games and this was a side trip because we had extra time. It was agreed by the four of us that this was one of the best parts of our trip. Texas hill country is great but it pales compared to Canyon Lake tour. This is a six ****** star attraction. Be sure and bring your camera and your binoculars.

This was a great activity for a group of friends to do together. Retired people from all over the US was in our small group of 12. It showed many of them new details of Arizona that is something different that desert life. The narrator was good at telling about the different formations in the mountains around the lake and pointing out wildlife that we came accross.
