| We were caught behind a boat that was being transferred to the marina. We were late getting to the boat due to the traffic stop. We didn't know until we arrived that the boat knew there were delays and waited. We expected we would have missed the trip. We were thankful. | ||||||

| The actual boat ride & crew were GREAT! It is a beautiful ride on the boat & the scenry is unbeatable! Having the crew point out the big sheep on the cliffs above was extra special for all of us. I think the Captain and the 2 other crew members were the best anyone could find for this boat ride. My only suggestion would be to improve on the ticketing process. By just having the passengers check in on line with their confirmation # to print the boarding passes & then present them in line as they arrive to see if they have a full load for the ride. They should arrive no later than 20 mins. prior to boarding. If they are not there on time, sell tickets to other people coming who wish to purchase tickets. This way you have your pass & can board as the numbers are called. This activity is well worth the money and ones time. It is just a wonderful boat ride & excellent information about the lake and area. Bring a camera & binoculars. Your pictures are just a great way to remember all the fun & scenry. | This is a must for anyone who likes to view the grandeur of nature in comfort. Two couples of us came here from Austin, Texas for Spring Training baseball games and this was a side trip because we had extra time. It was agreed by the four of us that this was one of the best parts of our trip. Texas hill country is great but it pales compared to Canyon Lake tour. This is a six ****** star attraction. Be sure and bring your camera and your binoculars. | ||||||

| Canyon Lake is very beautiful, the weather was perfect, and the boat ride was relaxing. We met wonderful people from Canada which made the trip interesting too. It was a scenic, enjoyable experience that I would recomment to all! | ||||||

| The scenery on the lake is so beautiful...Mother Nature at its best. The manner of boarding by first come-first serve numbered tickets was efficient and organized, and eliminated any chance of pushing and shoving. I took my 85 year old mother visiting from NJ on the trip. She can't stop talking about how "serene" it was. The captain was so informative and interruped the music only to impart some facts of the canyon or point out interesting formations and bighorn sheep sightings. This is not, however, an activity that I would recommend for children of pre-teen age or younger. Boredom sets in pretty quickly on a quiet ride and results in the need to expend pent up energy. All in all, the Dolly was worth every penny of the ticket price. I can't wait to take other visitors on this trip so I can enjoy it again, too. | ||||||

| It was an ideal weather day; 70's and sunny, little wind. The personnel very friendly and helpful. Narration on trip was very good. They could do a much better job checking in and then boarding. Large number of people with many trying to get ahead in the lines while some actually went down the ramp onto the dock even though they were told to wait in the sheltered area. The need someone there to keep the crowd in line and NOT going down the ramp or those with high numbers for boarding crowding the entrance area. Minor complaint. GREAT cruise. We'll do it again sometime. | ||||||

| This was a great activity for a group of friends to do together. Retired people from all over the US was in our small group of 12. It showed many of them new details of Arizona that is something different that desert life. The narrator was good at telling about the different formations in the mountains around the lake and pointing out wildlife that we came accross. | ||||||

| Thoroughly enjoyed the tour and the narrative provided by the Captain. He was very knowledge of the flora and fauna of the area and provided many details of the surrounding area. Highly recommend the tour. Next time through the area we are already talking about taking the dinner cruise. | ||||||

| We had so much fun on this cruise! The entire process from purchasing our tickets, finding the marina, to boarding the boat was very easy. The boat was clean, had several bathrooms, a great concession stand, and there was plenty of space for everybody! The crew was very friendly, and the captain was awesome! We had a great time! | ||||||

| The steamboat ride on Canyon Lake was inspiring, the scenery beautiful, and the Captain knowledgeable about the area. The seating arrangement on the boat could have been better. The top deck was filled before we boarded so we sat inside but the views were obstructed by the low ceiling. Overall we enjoyed the trip and would do it again. | ||||||

| The boat left the dock as stated at 5:30. The view of the mountains around us was spectacular! Our food was cooked on a grill on the rear of the boat so everything was freshly cooked and very good. I thought we would receive a choice between the ribeye steak and grilled chicken, but we got both!!! Salad, baked potato, corn, and a dinner roll. About 20 mins before docking, we were served apple pie! | ||||||

| The is the second time, in as many years, that my wife and I took my parents on the Dolly for their anniversary. This year was their 59th. As usual, the meal was terrific. I do not have any suggestions on how to improve the meal. The boat and catering staff were great. Our boat captain, Jeff, was a hoot as was the captain in training (I think his name was Robert?). All keep the cruise light and airy. As a bonus this year, we saw a large herd of Desert Bighorn Sheep. The weather was cool as the wind was blowing, but we had requested indoor-lower- level seating which was honored - the same as last year. My Mom has a nerve condition in her face which prevents her from being out in the wind for an extended period of time, so we appreciate honoring this request. In summary, this trip is well worth the money and we will be back again as it is something my parents would never do for themselves. Both years, the trip ran on their anniversary date (March 22), so that made it extra special. Thanks again for a great trip! Ron Kness | ||||||
