Enjoyable evening out of the norm

| The dinner cruise was enjoyable. Very peaceful out on the lake and very relaxing. Food was certainly not gourmet 5 star but it was an enjoyable meal of good quality and done well given that you have 100 people on a boat. | ||||||

Nice Scenic Tour through Steep Canyons

| This was a pleasant and scenic tour that took us through steep canyons that towered above the lake. Our tour was during the spring (April), which was a perfect time to visit the Arizona dessert. All of the flowers were in bloom and the temperature was very comfortable at about 80 degrees. The panorama was simply amazing, and it would be a good idea to bring some binoculars to help take in all of what nature has to share. We enjoyed the crew and were fortunate to see some wild life such as, Big Horn Sheep, Blue Herons, and a bit more. If you don't get the chance to take a nice leisurely cruise, you won’t want to miss this one. The price is reasonable, and if you have the time, you can enjoy a very nice meal at the marina restaurant. Don't forget to bring plenty of film or a digital camera for memorable pictures. | ||||||

| We had a nice time, although it was a bit long, and it was pretty hot outside. When we tried to find a seat inside for some shade, many tables for 4 were occupied by 2 and therefore, "taken". We didn't feel it was right to intrude on the other passengers. The narration was wonderful. I've lived in this part of Arizona for over 10 years, enjoyed many of its lakes, and the information about Canyon Lake, it's geography and wildlife was very interesting . Thoroughly enjoyable. I thought the price was a little high, tho. | ||||||

| My husband and I with our adult son and his wife enjoyed the cruise. Although it was August and HOT, the shaded top deck was cooler and there was a breeze so the heat wasn't a problem on the boat. We saw blue herons and turkey buzzards, but no sheep or mule deer. The rock formations and desert vegetation was enjoyable and the crew members were friendly and willing to answer questions. The lambing season seems to be Feb. thru April and when sheep are visible more regularly. I think we'd go again at that time and try the dinner cruise. We were staying on the west side of Phoenix in Peoria so it was an all day excursion with travel time there and back. If you want to guarantee seeing animals, then I'd suggest visiting a zoo. | ||||||

| We took the dinner cruise as a celebration dinner for my mom's retirement. We had 8 adults (ages 25 - 56) and one child (9) and it was just a very relaxing, enjoyable way to spend an evening. Being that it was still a warm time of year, but the boat wasn't completely booked, and I have to say this worked to our advantage. There was plenty of room to move about and enjoy different views. The food was excellent as well. We all enjoyed every aspect of the meal and appreciated how fresh everything tasted. The captain and his crew were extremely friendly and accomodating. I would definitely book this cruise again for a special occasion. | ||||||

Excellent Choice for a Family Vacation Adventure

| The Dollysteamboat 90 minute tour of Canyon Lake was our first experience on our 2 week vacation of the southwest. The length of time was perfect for both adults and children. Snacks are available for purchase such as candy and chips. You may bring your own water bottle and I recommend it. There is an upper and lower deck. Children must wear a life jacket at all times. We saw mountain goats, a blue Heron, beautiful scenery. The Captain narrates during the ride. Plenty of time is given for photos. We have two boys ages 11 and 14 and we all enjoyed the trip. | ||||||

| This was a last minute decision on our part. First time visitors to Phoenix and with all the options of things to do, places to go; we decided on Canyon Lake. We're very glad we did. Beautiful drive to and from and a very enjoyable boat trip. Crew was knowledgeable and pleasant. Thank you! | ||||||

| Took the cruise twice in two weeks with two different groups of family and friends with children under 12 years of age. All enjoyed the cruise and wildlife we were lucky enough to see. The narrative was very informative. | ||||||

| It was our first time on the lake, and will definitely have to return to try out some of the other activities offered there. We enjoyed seeing the eagles or falcons flying overhead, and I even managed to see a few bighorn sheep. We were a little surprised to see that almost all of the other passengers were well older than us, but they were a very nice group of people and we enjoyed talking with them. The music seemed a little overdramatic and corny to us at times, particularly the bit with Bach (but the rock formation itself was cool), and Titanic music. However, that was merely a minor quibble for what turned out to be a very enjoyable experience. We're certainly glad we went! | ||||||

| Canyon Lake is beautiful, and I can't imagine a more peaceful and stress-free way to see it than on the Dandy. We hope to be back soon for the star-gazing Dinner Cruise. | ||||||

| 90 minute relaxing cruise through Canyon Lake. Flora, fauna and rock formations dicussed throughout. Super genial hosts but be forwarned of the corny jokes. Wouldn't recomend for very young children, but everyone else enjoyed. | ||||||
