My 65th birthday was special so friends decided we should take a cruise. This was a wonderful evening, as the weather was perfect. Captain Jeff was so personable & knowledgeable & made each passenger feel special. As my husband has limited mobility, the customer reps on board were extremely helpful. The meal was very tasty and plentiful. There was a soft breeze as we cruised through the canyons & we even spotted 5 or 6 big horn sheep along with several deer. Seeing the sun setting through the canyon walls was a bonus. Perhaps next time we'll take the astronomy cruise, which also has the great dinner along with an educated astronomer informing passengers of the spectacular sights in the heavens. I would not hesitate this excursion for anyone.

bees bees bees! Ok, the cruise was ok. tooled around the lake. went down into the cove at one end of it and back again. lotsa rock cliffs. we did see couple sheep and some ram. bring your binoculars, camera, maybe jacket later or early in the season; might get cold. Dont sit near concession stand. The boat is just a power house boat thats been convrted for the cruise. no biggie there. Get ther early to get seating up top. We didnt so we were stuck inside with cap't's lame tour jokes. The entrance was swarming with bees. So was the pop machine dispenser INSIDE the boat. There was a BOATLOAD of bees around this boat (boating humor) on the boat, during the cruise and a TON on shore. But the staff didnt care. All n all it was kinda boring and annoying. Oh, and pretty drive going up there. With windey roads

I enjoyed this as my first time on a watercraft. The scenery was beautiful as I expected from Arizona Canyons! The fact we saw big horn sheep was a real treat! I only wish I could have enjoyed the peacefulness of being on a quiet lake - I found the music distracting. The narration was great as he pointed out various points of interest, but in between - I would have preferred quiet time to hear the water and relative silence. Otherwise - I really did enjoy it and recommend to others - we plan to take the astronomy tour when weather warms up for night time viewing!

Perfect weather and a great trip through Canyon Lake. The captain of the boat did a great job narrating alternating with themed music, and you can tell he loves his job and living in Arizona. My only suggestion would be to offer better food options for the snack bar on a cruise that goes from noon to 1:30pm (normally lunchtime). The only food offered would be referred to as "junk food", and people aren't allowed to bring their own food on board. How difficult would it be to also sell some sandwiches, wraps, salads, fresh fruit, etc. from a cooler during the lunch hour?

This was an amazing excursion. The weather was beautiful and the food was so much better than expected! Even though the price seemed high for what was described, spend the money and do it, you won't be disapointed. The mountains and the wildlife, the water, the sky, it was all just amazing! You start out w/ a narrated trip around the lake and the canyon and then as the sun starts to set dinner is served. The food was prepared fresh on site from a grill, so it made everything taste great. The portions were just perfect and made for a nice eveing overall. The staff on the boat was knowledgeable about the area and took great pride in imparting information about the Canyon. All the staff was very accomadating and offered their services for picture taking, carrying food, serving drinks,etc. I would highly recommend the dinner and check the calendar for a full moon. We had one the nite of our excursion and it was an added bonus to see it come up over the mountains and reflect off the water. Just do It!!

Was a beatiful day for a boat ride, the scenery was just awlsom and narrated by the captin very well, would highly recomend this to anyone, prices on board was resonable, my friend and I are looking to go again and bring our out of state friends. Good Job!

The cruise was delightful, though maybe we could have had a little less of the music, this is a nature cruise on a mountain lake. They also need to have glaringly obvious signs stating how they will load the passengers. There was a lot of confusion and unneccessary walking up and down a gangplanck for older folks.
