| The lake, scenery, captain, food and servers were all great. My only complaint is that the last hour of the cruise is after dark and you can't see anything. I can see stars here at home. The cruise needs to start at least an hour earlier in order to see more scenery. We can eat after dark. A few fans would also help. It was uncomfortably hot. A top open deck would have been nice. It was a little pricey but affordable. Ray & Carol | ||||||

| The cruise was fabulous (wondered about the two songs from Titanic, made me nervous); food was great; service amazingly good; well organized. Captain took time to talk to every table, very impressive, and seemed a genuinely nice man. The boat staff and the catering staff very friendly and everyone smiled a lot. It was nice of the Captain to announce special birthdays and anniversaries over the loudspeaker. Enjoyed his comments about geological places of interest. On the downside, the road into the marina was a nightmare. The Dolly can't control the road, but it's twisty and lots of turns, takes a long time because of posted speed limits, and scary though it is, people pass on a double yellow line (they must know the road). All in all, I'd do it again, but I'd prefer not to drive out in the dark. | ||||||

| Canyon Lake is great. The tour is nice, but it is not a paddle boat. It is more like a double decker platform that holds about 50 people on each deck. If you are a group of 6 or more, you might want to rent a personal pontoon boat. That way you can bring food and drinks on board, stop and swim, and enjoy yourself. Our group will be back next year and we'll spend the extra money for our little boat. | ||||||

Great relaxing cruise

| I and my elderly parents took the noon hour cruise in early September. We found it to be a very soothing ride. We enjoyed the scenery and the captain did not talk too much. Even though it was a hot day there was a slight cooling breeze on the water. Sitting on the top deck inside gave a great view of the canyon and protection from the sun. Walking down the many steps to the boat was difficult for my dad but he was the one who did not want help. He did start down ahead of the group. I knew beforehand that there was a wheelchair available if necessary. I wish the cruise were either at 10:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. Our only criticism is that we were starving by the time we got back on shore and could have our leisurely lunch at the resaurant. | ||||||

| I am a local and have brought all my visitors to ride the Dolly. I would do this by myself even if I didn't have enough out of town visitors at different times of the year to take in the changing scenery. A great inexpensive, relaxing event away from the hustle and bustle of vacation touring. | ||||||

| My wife and I have done a number of these type of boat tours both in the US and Canada. We would rate the Dolly Steamboat Tour as one of the best. The scenery you drive through to get to the boat is worth the trip in and of itself. The reservation process, the small restaurant on site, the loading process was flawless. The tour was well narrated, the boat was VERY CLEAN, the staff were great. There were lots of interesting sights and sightings during the 90 minute tour. My only complaint, as with any great event is that it ended too soon. | ||||||

| My son and I decided to do this on Labor Day! it was nearly a 2 hour drive, but so worrht it, the cruise was wonderful. We were fortunate enough to select the back section of the boat, where we could move our chairs inorder to not have to sit in the sun! it was a bit warm that day. The cruise was just the right pace, time enough to enjoy the views! The narration was just right! not too much, not too little, the interesting scenery including old petrified logs, and the crevases in the rocks, the areas where you could tell that during certain parts of the year water would be falling off of the high cliffs. The interestingly named points, and out croppings were fun to look at, the elephant etc. The captains "mates" were great, and happily took our photos with the boat at the end of our ride. It was just the right amount of time and we sure enjoyed it. Then we went up to the restaraunt and had a delicious lunch! with great service. here's one idea for you, include the ride and a buffet lunch, maybe on Saturday and Sunday or on holidays, that way the cook wouldnt be so swamped all at once! and the waitresses, who weren't busy until we arrived! then they really had to fly! and hey I would spend $ 40 a piece for the ride with buffet included. And the buffet should be something different, fun, interesting! | ||||||

| My wife and I spent our 23rd anniversary here. It was absolutely awesome. Coming from a very non-romantic red neck. I have to say, I got the "A" OK from my wife on this surprise. Only took me 23 years to get it right. The whole entire cruise from start to finish was absolutely perfect. My wife and I did not want it to end. The staff, seating, food and boat made for a picture perfect evening. We definately recommend this cruise to any and all. You will not regret one thing. We "WILL" be coming back soon, with friends and family. Thanks for making our Anniversay perfect. | ||||||

| They visited with limited time, young adults working hard in MI and Canada. Our son and daughter wanted to experience the canyons. For 2 1/2 hours (without the stress on dad to drive!) we enjoyed visiting and laughing, sharing the wonderous views, a full moon, relaxing music and meeting new people. An evening their lonesome mother will treasure for a long time. Thank you. | ||||||

| Awesome. This was an event I planned to spend quality time with my six year old grandson and a couple of friends from work. My grandson was so excited as he had never been on any type of boat before and really enjoyed the Dolly Steamboat. He commented on how beautiful it was on the lake and was taking pictures of the cliffs and people boating, swimming and skiing. At the end of the cruise he stated that this was the best part of his day and wants to do it again with his Mom and Dad. My friends and I had been on the cruise a couple of years ago and enjoyed it. It is so relaxing and calming. A great way to de-stress. Would highly recommend to anyone who visits the Phoenix area. | ||||||
