| My friend and I recently took the boat tour with our (combined) 3 children, ages 7, 3, and 3. The majority of the passengers were mature adults. It was nice that the kids could walk around during the tour and that we weren't stuck in our seats. Get there early and stand in line. They board the boat according to your ticket number. We didn't realize this, so ended up being one of the last ones on board. Sunscreen recommended if you sit up top in the sun. If you are sitting down below, it's not necessary. The captain was extremely friendly, giving many details during the tour to all of the passengers. He was extremely kind and offered our children to stick around after the boat ride to show them where the motors were located. He pulled up the floor board and explained to them how the motors worked. | ||||||

| Our group was 2 moms and 3 children - ages 7, 3 and 3. We camped at the Marina. This was a great activity for the children. Restroom facilities and snacks/drinks on board were a bonus. Absolutely get tickets several days in advance. Both cruise times were sold out the day we went. | ||||||

| We were required to be at the boat 30 minutes before departure. However, no one was at the ticket office until 20 minutes before departure. There was a hangup with one customer which caused additional delays. I didn't like that. It seemed like there was no contingency plan to handle the unexpected. The tour itself provided a good narrative and beautiful sights. I took lots of pictures. Really to many pictures. | ||||||

| We not only lucked out with a perfect weather, (sunny, temperature just right, spring green and wildflowers blooming) the scenery is really beautiful and changes around every bend. The attendants on the boat kept a lookout for wildlife and were able to point out a great blue heron, some turkey vultures, two bald eagles, and some big horned sheep. There was comfortable seating as well as plenty of opportunity to move about the boat to take pictures and enjoy the scenery. | ||||||

| the trip was very beautiful and for me a very peaceful and relaxing time in our busy schedules. The scenery was beautiful, we were even lucky enought to see an eagle and the big horn sheep. A wonderful trip. | ||||||

| The cruise was very good, Capt Tom's narrative was clear and useful. A little more of the Geology would be good. Dinner was excellent, both food and service. The Astronomy section was good though a little less self-promotion and more Astronomy would be an improvement. The cruise was sufficiently interesting that we plan to take an afternoon cruise. | ||||||

| The Dolly Steamboat provides a relaxing yet informative tour of the terrain surrounding Canyon Lake, a man-made lake east of the Phoenix Metropolitan Area in the Superstition Mountains. The tourguide was informative to local flora and fauna, pointing out nearby predator birds and bighorn sheep off in the distance. The 90-minute tour was neither too short nor too long. The price of the tour is reasonable and discounts are offered for AAA members. | ||||||

| We had a most relaxing and enjoyable ride 45 minutes up and 45 minutes back down Canyon Lake on the Dolly Steamboat. Music and narration accompanied us on the trip which enhanced our journey by describing some of the sights we could see on the mountainsides along the lake's edge. Snacks were available to be purchased...but we just sipped the water we brought with us and chatted softly as we sat comfortably around a table on the upper deck. I hope to go again in a year or two with my husband. | ||||||
