| Desire was witty and funny which some may find hard to accomplish with a serious subject as the Katrina catastrophe. Each actor portrayed their character with Oscar winning performances. I have only been to a few plays at the Billie Holiday Theatre and I'm always more than satisfied. I'd also like to recommend Appleby's Restaurant before or after the show. The service and food were very good.

| I had not heard about the play prior to attending, nor had I attended any other events at the Billie Hoiliday Theatre. What a fantastic way to kick off the holiday weekend!
In a word, the play was OUTSTANDING! I am an avid theatre goer, and firmly believe that this play can hold its own against the productions that are now on Boadway. Each character was well-casted and brought to his/her role a strong level of authenticity that kept the audience hanging on their every word. It was easy to relate to the characters and their experiences, and their ability to engage in a inspective dialogue about issues affecting race, gender, relationships, politics, self-respect, social status, identity awareness and culture, without being "preachy."
My only disappointment came twice in the production --- once, when we had to take intermission, and the other, when the play was over. I wanted more!
Bravo! To the entire cast, the producers, writers and directors. The stage was simple, yet effective and the powerful ending opened the door for further dialogue and discussion amongst friends.
This production is worth seeing again. Although next time, I would sit further away from the door leading into the theatre, as I found the the entry of late comers to be rather distracting. Thankfully, the actors (the professionals that they are) were able to ignore these distractions and stay in character. The performers should be further credited for their abitity to maintain the integrity of the scene and their character, even when some audience members failed to control their emotions by yelling aloud in response to the characters' actions. With the strong emotions (inlcuding laughter) that the play evoked, it's no wonder that some people just could not control themselves.
I look forward to seeing more from each of these cast members.
Regards from,

| Although this Play was highly recommended to me, I couldn't imagine something of this magnitude playing off Broadway. Way, way, way off-Broadway. Living in the suburbs, I was a bit reluctant to travel to downtown brooklyn to see a Play. I was so glad I made the trek.
I rate this Play alongside any of the Broadway shows I've seen. Magnificently performed. The actors were A+. Very professional, very real characters. I can't say enough about it. I was blown away. My only disappointment was to look around the theatre and see it not full to capacity. A play of this magnitude is deserving of a full audience. If you haven't seen it, run, don't walk to get your ticket before it leaves. |

| This play was rewardingly action packed and very funny. I fell in love with one main actor, that made the whole evening worth while. I have been to previous Saturday plays at the Billie Holiday Theatre, this was my first Friday evening play and I enjoyed it so much I will change to Friday evenings. I felt more relaxed and comfortable with enough room to stretch out. I was very satisfied. I took my 15 year old son and he told me he like the Desire play the best. The play touched real life topics, and was very close to home. Outstanding stage atmosphere. I will use Zerve again for future programs. The service was excellent and time saving. Thank you. |

| I was just sitting at home and said to myself I was tired of just staying home alone.
So I got on my computer to look to see what was going on locally.
I had checked out a few places.
I finally went to the Billie Holiday Theatre site and saw there was a play that would be starting at 8:00 PM.
I got my ticket online at about 1:30 and I was pretty excited about just getting out of the house.
When I got to the theatre and got my ticket, we were allowed to take seats at 7:30.
The music that was playing before the show started was extremely soothing. I felt so relaxed.
The show finally began and I must say. It was fantastic. I was pleased to see the mixed cast and the actors were all dynamic.
It made me laugh and it made me cry.
These actors acted just as good or better than some actors I have seen on Broadway!
Everyone in the theatre was giving the cast standing ovations and yelling BRAVO!
I cannot wait until the next show!
My spontanaiety surely took me to a lovely evening out.

| Performers were excellent. I saw Radio Golf the next day and Desire was as well done or comparable to a Bdwy play. |
