The play transends race and contemporary generations ( 1970's to present) with a realistic peek into the lifestyle and challenges of young black men (men in general, in the mid to late 20-30 something group) who are educated professionals. They tackle the need for authentic friendships as adults, to anchor their lives in their pursuit of happiness and success. Great date play to generate discussions about relationships amongst young professionals/friends and couples. A gem of a peek into the conversations between men about their feelings and vulnerabilities in relationship between each other and women. There is some discussion of homosexuality,but it was appropriate for my teenage son who enjoyed the play as well. Written by Deb Boyce.

Each main character suffiently grew within the role and was able to depict sensitivity and humor. I felt like I was transported to their homes and was watching their lives spin the tale without their knowledge. Sassy Momas was wonderfully refreshing, and immensly funny. The Desire was so entertaining that I saw it twice. I enjoyed the professionalism of the actors/actresses. I highly recommend this play to be seened. You will enjoy every moment from the beginning to the end.

The play met and exceeded my greatest expectation. It is so relevant to the magnitude of the 'issue' in the community at large. The actors and actresses were superb in their roles. As a viewer, I felt so connected. The High Priestess of Dark Alley is a must see for all those concerned and interested in the dynamics of HIV transmission in our communiites of color. The play should take Broadway by storm!!!

I had the pleasure of watching "The High Priestess of Dark Alley". I found it to be a very entertaining independent play that dealt with a couple of serious issues, yet also had a nice blend of humor as well. Would definitely recommend that others see this play.

The cast was great very professional, funny and informative, the topics were realistic and sometimes occurs in our lives, they touch on race issues, stereotypes etc...I loved it.

It was very easy and trouble free using Zerve to purchase my tickets. I had good seats and it took less then 2 minutes to pick up my tickets from the box office. I would definately use this service again.

This was an entertaining thatre experience for the casual theatre goer. It had an engaging cast who played their parts well. Some of the themes explored like class and color differences within the Black race, and the consequences of sexual promiscuity, while still relevant seemed somewhat dated.Overall the play was a crowd pleaser and left you with a hopeful feeling.The cast coming out to greet the audience after the performance was a very nice touch which heightened the experience and exemplified what good regional theatre is all about. I would recommend this play to all the theatre goers I know.
