I knew very little about the play before attending, but was very pleased by the plot, characters and performance of the actors. The story was engaging, unfolded well through the climax, and ultimate conclusion.

The Desire was so entertaining that I saw it twice. I enjoyed the professionalism of the actors/actresses. I highly recommend this play to be seened. You will enjoy every moment from the beginning to the end.

How do you spell E X C E L L E N T! It was the absolute best for the year. I believe since 6/06 I have seen 4 plays that ranged from ok to hum drum drum and offbeat, however, and to be precise if this were on Broadway with the same group of folk, I would have paid for the $100.00 seats and believe me I am 1 economical person : ). Most definitely I was ecstatic and raved about it to the folk on my job hurrying them to catch this. The repoire of the characters was wonderful, the timing between Tyrone and his cousin was perfect. A standing ovation in my heart and action given the same, may I say salute'.. Loved it Please share with the group of actors because it was certainly on my heart to write to the Billie Holiday theatre. Rosemary McCray

The comedy “Desire” wasn’t an ordinary Off-Broadway play; it’s a great Off-Broadway play. The chemistry between the actors was seamless; each actor played their roll on a scale of ten. Never saw a white guy, play a white guy like that before, and the cousins their relationship reminded me of my family. This is “The Shot”…. Go see it today.

I thought the show was great entertainment but I real life story at the same time. I thought the actors and actresses was excellant especailly Janee! I thihk this show should be at least on Off Broadway! I have seen show both on Broadway and off Broadway and this was my first time to see a play at the Billie Holiday Theatre. I really enjoyed myself and will be back soon. I will continue to check your website for update on plays. Again great show!

This was a well written and delivery was exceptional. I had so much fun, the story line was of true life drama. I would definely reccomend this play or any other future perfomances. As for the price one cannot beat that, it was a true bargin. If you have a mailing list I would like to be include in order to attend future performances.

The Production was delightul informative as well as entertaining. The stereo types that were brought out in this play were truly right on. It is wonderful that our community is coming together to educate our people regarding a disease that has taken the African American community by strom. The sad part about this is that it is 100% preventable.!!! I strongly recommend this play to our young people who don't believe that it could be them. I suggest it to everyone of all races to see because even though African Americans are the hardest hit, all races and ages are at risk. P.S. PLEASE TAKE OUT THE PART WHERE SWEET TAKES OF HIS SHIRT I FORGOT MY HUSBAND WAS SITTING NEXT TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for a Great Sunday Afternoon Nursey in Brooklyn

The play was excellent. It was well paced and the acting was superb. The whole cast worked as one and were flawless. Kudos to the lead Mari White (Claire) and Nicoye Banks (Sweet).

I found the theme of this piece relevant and poignant. Conflict is presented in a wonderfully fresh manner and several themes are resoundingly made without being heavy-handed. The nuiances were handled in pure and honest fashion. The arch of the play and the arch of the characters are intellegently presented. I strongly recommend seeing this piece.

When i presented the e- ticket the receptionist said "what this" without even as much as a glance- after I had been kept waiting while she was on the telephone. Her co workers made no attempt to assist her with the patrons. I have been to the theatre once before to see Four Mrn on A Couch- mr Alexander played Jesse in it. I was so impressed I decided to return. m My daughter is visiting from California- I traveled from Yonkers. I am a native of Brooklyn. Frankly I find the rudeness embarassing and am not surprised that the theatre has never been full even though the performances are stellar! Thanks for the opportunity to give feedback.
