| This was my second time visiting the Billie. The entire play was beautifully written and performed. Funny, sad, exciting, dramatic - it has a little of everything. As a New Orleans native, the parts of the play focusing on Katrina and the politics surrounding it were dead on - Thanks Jackie Alexander! And for the price, it's a real gem. Stop Off - Broadway for an evening and check out Brooklyn's finest community theatre: The Billie Holiday Theatre! | ||||||

| This play was rewardingly action packed and very funny. I fell in love with one main actor, that made the whole evening worth while. I have been to previous Saturday plays at the Billie Holiday Theatre, this was my first Friday evening play and I enjoyed it so much I will change to Friday evenings. I felt more relaxed and comfortable with enough room to stretch out. I was very satisfied. I took my 15 year old son and he told me he like the Desire play the best. The play touched real life topics, and was very close to home. Outstanding stage atmosphere. I will use Zerve again for future programs. The service was excellent and time saving. Thank you. | ||||||

| I FOUND THE PLAY,"THE DESIRE" TO BE A VERY A VERY HARD HITTING,THOUGHT PROVOKING PLAY. THE ACTORS DID A SUPERB JOB IN THEIR VARIOUS ROLES AND POINTS ABOUT PRESIDENT BUSH AND THE KATRINA VICTIMS WERE PRESENTED FAIRLY AND WITH DEAD ON PRECISION. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PLAY FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY. EXCUSE THE CAPITAL LETTERS AND THE BAD SPELLING,SINCE I REALLY CAN`T TYPE. | ||||||

| We had never been to the Billie Holliday theater. The play "The Desire" was absolutely amazing. The cast was exceptional and the play itself was well written and directed. The theater staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful. | ||||||

| Desire was witty and funny which some may find hard to accomplish with a serious subject as the Katrina catastrophe. Each actor portrayed their character with Oscar winning performances. I have only been to a few plays at the Billie Holiday Theatre and I'm always more than satisfied. I'd also like to recommend Appleby's Restaurant before or after the show. | I enjoyed this play, it was funny, thought provoking, timely and very well put together. The actors did a wonderful job, especially the young man who played Willie. Although his circumstances were dire, he still had a valid and realistic opinion about what goes on in government and how those policies affect blacks living in America today. Good Job! | ||||||

| A group of friends and I went. We were so entertained we were sitting on the edge of our chairs and laughing aloud ..The play was well written, the actors and actresses were great, and I found the setting to be very nice. I plan on taking my Mother to see it and I'd highly reccomend it. | ||||||

| This was my second time around. I had to tell my friends about. I thought the whole cast was great. Due to the katrina subject I was hesitate but it wasn't sad at all. I enjoy all of the plays at the theater. I go every chance I can | ||||||

| Performance was better than anything I'd seen on Broadway or off-Broadway for the price..! Actors were so genuine that they didn't see like they were acting at times. Play was very heartfelt and emotional at times There were also good comedic scenes and the script was well-written. I would highly recommend this play be seen by all. | ||||||

| Our entire group found the play to be excellent. The casting was also exceptional. Bob and his wife played excellent believable roles. Willie was exceptional and the lead actor carried the play very well. The stage and lighting was also very good. | ||||||
