I forgot that I had booked the tour after 10 days in New York. Thanks to Paula (our tour guide) ringing me & the guys at Verve translating Paula's Brooklynese instructions to go to 'Ord Fulton' into 'Old Fulton', we were able to catch up to the tour at Grimaldis. Very pleased we did, had a great time. Paula was a terrific guide. Thanks Paula! Thanks Verve! John & Lorraine. PS Will not forget next time!

We loved Paula! Her enthusiasm for Brooklyn, pizza, and people made the whole tour worth it. Well, okay, the pizza was delicious too. (You'll dream about the Sicilian style!) But Paula takes the, er, pie with her wit and savvy. Tony Shmony, we want Paula! (Just kiddin', Tone.) Thanks for being gay-positive, too, Paula! California is sad to have lost you.

My friend and I did the pizza tour and LOVED it! The pizza was fantastic and I have been craving it ever since! Paula - our tour guide - absoutely made the tour the great event it was, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who just wants to get a great tour of Brooklyn - it's not just about the pizza!

This was our first trip to Brooklyn, but it definitely won't be our last. Paula was an engaging and enthusiastic tour guide with a lot of information about her home town. The pies are like no other...one a thin & crispy crust & the other one is thicker & melts in your mouth. I couldn't tell you which one I liked more...they were both wonderful. We will be back to try one of the other Brooklyn tours and to eat some more pie:-) Thanks for a wonderful day, Paula!!!

I would recommend this tour and Paula to anyone who wants to have an enjoyable 4 hour experience! I have been coming to the New York City area for the past 30 years and consider myself to be pretty knowledgeable about where to go and what to see, so the fact that I found this tour exciting says a lot! The food was fantastic! The information and commentary provided by Paula was off the charts, she is funny and obviously loves Brooklyn! I do too now that I have seen it from her point of view. If you do only one thing while you are in the New York take the slice of Brooklyn Pizza Tour! Other tours well.......forgetaboutit!

Just home from 6 nights in New York and took the Slice of Brooklyn tour while there. I cant recommend this tour highly enough. I have beeen to N.Y. with my husband several times before and had even been to Brooklyn before but nothing like this! From the moment we met Tony in wonderful New York sunshine we were exposed to his exceptional local knowledge of the area and his great love of his home town of Brooklyn was highly contagious! All the highlights of the borough are covered in this tour and the area's significant place in film history is effectively captured in the film clips shown as you pass the various sites where they were shot. You really feel like you are a part of the action! Of course the pizza was good also but it was Tony himself that was the star of the show for us. Exceptional value for money....be sure to book this tour.....you wont regret it! Annette and Eamonn, Ireland

Everything you want to know about Pizza and Brookl

Tony was absolutely fabulous. He is a fun, knowlegeable, friendly guy who made the tour worth taking. There was alot of variety in the tour. A person got a chance to visit a park, go to two famous pizza places, walk the Coney Island boardwalk, see film about famous flims on location and then view through pictures important people who came from Brooklyn. This is my second time and I will go again if I'm in New York. I loved this tour, very professional , informative and fun. Claudia Huntsinger Salem, Oregon

This trip has something for everyone. Fanastic sights, information delivered by an enthusiastic, charistmatic and well informed guide, great movie clips to make locations come to life and the best pizza we have ever tasted. This was the best trip of our family holiday to New York and we have already recommended it to all of our friends. We are looking forward to the promised Mob Tour and will definately be coming back over for that. The atmosphere in the restaurants was great - we could have happily spent the day there too - particularly Grimaldi's - our favourite (although a close thing!). Thank you for a wonderful day with lots of happy memories and don't forget to tell us when you're Mob Tour is up and running. Julie - England

Highlights Might Not Be The Pizza
Sun, Oct 25, 09   11:00 AM fraser69 Male 40-49 International Tourist(s) Individual
Paula was our tour guide and did a very good job describing each area we went through.Proud to be a Brooklynite. During the bus ride at certain points a video was shown from movies from the same area. Saturday Night Fever was a major talking point. Some sort of icon of Brooklyn thing. For me, she might have over selled the pizza. Grimaldi's was a good pizza with an excellent crunchy base, but to me a cheese n tomato pizza is not going to earn any bragging rights as the best pizza in town. Again, same with L & B's, more topping choices are needed. The idea of putting the tomato on top of the cheese is great, normally you can't tell which is cheese or the skin from your lips when you take a bite of the pizza. I was disappointed when after my third piece of pizza I was full. You're eating more bread than actual topping. The only minor, ney, major disappointment ( for me of course ) was during our walk around Coney, Paula never mentioned anything about the best movie ever, The Warriors. The wonder wheel in the opening credits, the train stopping at stillwell ave, the warriors are from coney. Maybe "a slice of brooklyn pizza tour" could be the wrong title. You only stop at 2 places while the most of the tour is talking about Brooklyn. When you go on a pub crawl you go to more than 2 pubs. The funniest moment was before we got to Grimaldi's, Paula said don't look at the people standing in line. You can't help but look. She was right. There's a kind of hatred on their faces when you jump the line. Overall a good four - five hours discription about Brooklyns area and people.
