I did this tour Sept 2012 with my pals from Atlanta. This time I took my husband and he loved it! I found it just as much fun as the first time!

My family, in town from Florida wanted to try something different from the usual touring around Manhattan. The tour met and exceeded every expectation. From the bubbly and informative personality of our guide, Paula, to the seamlessness of the entire day, this was perfection! The pizza is the cherry on top! Bus was very comfortable and we couldn't have been more pleased. Thanks Paula!

A Great Way to Spend a Day

The Brooklyn Pizza Tour was fun! After having done most of the obvious touristy things one must do in NYC we decided to try this out. We are glad we did. The tour was fun and informative. The tour guide was great. The pizzas were very good. The bus was immaculatley clean and air conditioned, with an on board restroom that never got funky with about 44 people onboard for 4.5 hours (less eating time). That's amazing. Picked up and dropped off in Union Square, so convenient. We had a great time.

fifty trips to NY (over forty years), and we have never been to Brooklyn. Tour should follow route "East River to Coney Island, and back again". One pizza on the way down, and one pizza on the way back. Should include one ride on the ferris wheel at turn-around time. Four hours is sufficient. Should stop half-hour each at the Brooklyn Museum of Art, and the Brooklyn Botanical Garden. Event might end with a final walk across the Brooklyn Bridge to return to Manhattan, with obvious directions to anywhere from that end of the bridge. Non-walkers could continue in bus to starting place. Define the focus: Brooklyn or Pizza....probably pizza, since nobody would be interested in Brooklyn without the pizza gimmick. Will tell everybody we know about the tour, and encourage them to take it. Great idea of having the film clips...and the music

This tour is fantastic. Tony is the nicest, down to earth guy with the gift of gab and a home grown pride of Brooklyn. This tour is interesting and fun from start to finish. Even the most jaded of travelers should find this tour memorable, and worth every penny. Do it! You will not regret it. We are looking forward to participating in any future tours Tony comes up with. Thanks Tony, for making our weekend in NYC a truly special one. Ken Miller (Rochester, ny)

Bravo Brooklyn! Tony's Terrific!

On my wife's suggestion -- she took the Slice of Brooklyn Pizza Tour in March -- I went on the escapade on May 12. Tourguide Tony is a hoot. He loves his home borough and he loves what he does. And everyone loves the pizza. Are you a Sicilian or a Neopolitan at heart ? Take the tour and find out! And don't be bashful -- there's plenty of pizza for everyone! The tour inspired me to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge later that afternoon and to journey out to Coney Island the next day specifically to ride the Cyclone. Tony and his pal Pete even hooked me up with a brewery tour the next day. They are very accomodating folks and a pleasure to spend an afternoon with. (If the Cyclone is running while you're at Coney Island on the tour -- and it should be during the summer -- by all means ride it. It's a piece of Americana, just like Tony!) You'll enjoy this excursion, especially as a respite from the crowds, traffic and bustle of Manhattan.

We were on our Honeymoon in New York City from a small town in Montana and had the time of our life. Tony is great, the bus was just right, the information interesting (not too much or too little) and the pizza fantastic! We had a blast and the next time we visit the Big Apple - we are going to go on another tour with Zerve. Our only suggestion... Pepperoni or other toppings to choose from might be nice? Otherwise, bravo! (PS: we liked Brooklyn best)

Great, but one more would be better....

We thought there would be more pizza. Apparently one of the places was burned and temporarily out of business, but something might have been substituted... I would recommend that a local, quickie map be provided of Brooklyn that is in sync with the points of interest. Since different tour guides (we had Paula, a kick) have different points of interest there would be extra, but that's okay -- it would be a good reason for folks to take the tour again. We really did enjoy it -- well done and good luck getting into your house in Bay Ridge, Paula.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our Slice of Brooklyn Pizza Tour with Paula, she was just wonderful, it was like being with a friend. The tour was great, a friend of mine from Australia recommended this tour to me and I will also recommend any Aussie's heading your way to book in and do the tour, thankyou so much, as tourists we saw a side to Brooklyn that we wouldn't have seen - thanks again

This tour should not be missed as an authentic introduction to Brooklyn. The pizza tasting was great, sure, but Tony is the real star of this show. He knows the history of the places visited, but more importantly he tells stories about his own childhood and lifelong Brooklyn friends. He speaks from the heart and his personality, combined with the small size of the tour, raises this experience head and shoulders above any of the other tourist bus experiences. When you go, ask Tony why New Yorkers talk about "standing on line".
