Fantastic Tour - do it!

Just home from 6 nights in New York and took the Slice of Brooklyn tour while there. I cant recommend this tour highly enough. I have beeen to N.Y. with my husband several times before and had even been to Brooklyn before but nothing like this! From the moment we met Tony in wonderful New York sunshine we were exposed to his exceptional local knowledge of the area and his great love of his home town of Brooklyn was highly contagious! All the highlights of the borough are covered in this tour and the area's significant place in film history is effectively captured in the film clips shown as you pass the various sites where they were shot. You really feel like you are a part of the action! Of course the pizza was good also but it was Tony himself that was the star of the show for us. Exceptional value for money....be sure to book this tour.....you wont regret it! Annette and Eamonn, Ireland

Tony was absolutely fabulous. He is a fun, knowlegeable, friendly guy who made the tour worth taking. There was alot of variety in the tour. A person got a chance to visit a park, go to two famous pizza places, walk the Coney Island boardwalk, see film about famous flims on location and then view through pictures important people who came from Brooklyn. This is my second time and I will go again if I'm in New York. I loved this tour, very professional , informative and fun. Claudia Huntsinger Salem, Oregon

This trip has something for everyone. Fanastic sights, information delivered by an enthusiastic, charistmatic and well informed guide, great movie clips to make locations come to life and the best pizza we have ever tasted. This was the best trip of our family holiday to New York and we have already recommended it to all of our friends. We are looking forward to the promised Mob Tour and will definately be coming back over for that. The atmosphere in the restaurants was great - we could have happily spent the day there too - particularly Grimaldi's - our favourite (although a close thing!). Thank you for a wonderful day with lots of happy memories and don't forget to tell us when you're Mob Tour is up and running. Julie - England

Highlights Might Not Be The Pizza

Paula was our tour guide and did a very good job describing each area we went through.Proud to be a Brooklynite. During the bus ride at certain points a video was shown from movies from the same area. Saturday Night Fever was a major talking point. Some sort of icon of Brooklyn thing. For me, she might have over selled the pizza. Grimaldi's was a good pizza with an excellent crunchy base, but to me a cheese n tomato pizza is not going to earn any bragging rights as the best pizza in town. Again, same with L & B's, more topping choices are needed. The idea of putting the tomato on top of the cheese is great, normally you can't tell which is cheese or the skin from your lips when you take a bite of the pizza. I was disappointed when after my third piece of pizza I was full. You're eating more bread than actual topping. The only minor, ney, major disappointment ( for me of course ) was during our walk around Coney, Paula never mentioned anything about the best movie ever, The Warriors. The wonder wheel in the opening credits, the train stopping at stillwell ave, the warriors are from coney. Maybe "a slice of brooklyn pizza tour" could be the wrong title. You only stop at 2 places while the most of the tour is talking about Brooklyn. When you go on a pub crawl you go to more than 2 pubs. The funniest moment was before we got to Grimaldi's, Paula said don't look at the people standing in line. You can't help but look. She was right. There's a kind of hatred on their faces when you jump the line. Overall a good four - five hours discription about Brooklyns area and people.

Great way to learn about and experience Brooklyn. The pizza was excellent and plentiful in both places. However, it was a bit pricey and we were disappointed with our tour guide. Tony, the owner who came highly recommended was MIA that day.

Well worth the time and the money. Not sure if I liked the Pizza better or the tour of Brooklyn. Paula rocked!

My husband and I took this tour. We live in CT and have spent a lot of time in Manhattan, but never ventured into Brooklyn before. (JFK doesn't count!) The meeting stop was easy to reach by subway. The bus was comfortable with enough leg room for my husband's long legs. It was a lovely sunny day, so the views were spectacular. Brooklyn is a fabulous vantage point from which to see lower Manhattan. Our tour guide, Paula was fun and informative. She was obviously very proud of "her" borough and was right when she said we will come back again. This tour was a good introduction to Brooklyn with some delicious pizza along the way. My husband liked the thin-crust at Grimaldi's while I preferred the thick-crust at L & B. We took this tour on a whim, but will definitely be back for another round when we have visitors in town. In the meantime, we will be exploring Brooklyn on our own now that we have a good starting point. Thank you to Paula and Kevin, the driver, for a fun and delicious tour!

This was a great way to spend our one day in NYC. We wanted something different and this tour offered it - plus the wine and pizza was great, too!

Our tour guide Paula was a delight and very well informed. Her "Ohio Ladies" had a good time.
