Fantastic tour and pizza

Tony is great. The tour is a very good mix of sights, history, and food! We really enjoyed the movie clips of places we were visiting. The pizza was great. We lived in Italy just outside of Naples for three years so we were wondering if the pizza could live up to the hype and it did. The pizza from Grimaldi's was as close to true Neapolitan pizza as I think you get can get in the US given the difference in ingredients. Normally we dislike Sicilian thick crust pizza, but the pizza from L&B's was very good. My husband bought chocolate spumoni and loved it. I got lemon ice which was terrific because unlike a lot of lemon ices it was not overly sweet and/or syrupy.

We were out for 10 days in NYC and DC and if we had gone on this tour and nothing else, it would have been a great vacation. Nuff said.

I had taken this tour 3 years ago -- one of Tony's very first times out. Since then I've recommended it to many friends who were visiting New York and they were all equally enthusiastic. It's always a delight to have a guide who so obviously loves his subject and knows his stuff. We especially loved hearing about the various "connected" inhabitants of Brooklyn past and present. Tying in the scenes from movies is also very effective and interesting. Oh yes, we also loved the pizza and ice cream (yum). We're definitely looking forward to going again. Renee Rose

My friends and I have been on many food tours through New York City, and this was one of the best! I would definitely go on another tour with this company. Tony was both knowledgeable and engaging.

Tony and his tour ranks right up at the top of one of our favorite days in NYC. (and Brooklyn) This guy is amazing -what knowledge, energy, enthusiasm! It feels like visiting an old friend and having him want to make your day very special. And he did! He talks for the entire tour - hardly taking a breath- amazing! As I said - don't miss it!

Tony Muia ' MR. BROOKLYN'
Fri, May 30, 08   11:00 AM lcrandolph Female 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
From beginning to end this tour was wonderful! It was relaxed, not rushed , and filled with wonderful stories, information and historical facts. Tony's 'real deal' knowledge and personality are right on. Not only did we get to eat and savor great pizza and spumoni, we saw Brooklyn through the eyes of Tony, a native, whose love of this area is infectious. His capacity for fun and adventure knew no bounds when he rode the 'Cyclone' at Coney Island with others on the tour. We recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get away from the tourist trappings of NYC (not that there's anything wrong with that). He is developing other tours. Can't wait to join him for whatever tours he offers in the future. Tony Muia is the real deal and don't you 'forgetta about it'!

Thoroughly enjoyable!

My husband and I took the tour and really enjoyed. Tony (our tour guide) was a real professional, very knowledge about Brooklyn and added many personal details about what it was like growing up in Brooklyn. The points of interest were exactly what we wanted to see with the added feature of showing movie clips on the tour bus, The pizza stops were great with more than enough to taste. We have already recommended this to several friends and will continue to do so. Carol Buffalo, New York
