Fantastic tour led by Brooklyn local!
Fri, Jun 19  11:00 AM lisafv Female 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
This tour is a GREAT way to see more of NYC than the average tourist will see. Many think of New York City as being Manhattan or even Times Square or Central Park. This tour shows you that NYC has much more to offer than only what's in Manhattan. Tony is a fabulous tour guide and is passionate about sharing his hometown neighborhood. Aside from the great pizza at both restaurants, seeing many movie locations along with the footage from the movie was very entertaining. I enjoyed visiting historic Coney Island as well. The group was a very comfortable size to travel with on the short tour. I intend to strongly recommend this tour and take the neighborhood tour next time I am in town. Word to the wise: Don't be late! Make sure you give yourself enough time to get to the pickup location. I barely made it (my own fault) and would have been so upset to miss the tour. Now that I know what I would've missed I would have been REALLY upset to miss it. GO AND LET TONY SHOW YOU AROUND BROOKLY!!!!

Nice to see neighborhoods

After having been to our favorite city, NYC and seeing all the touristy sights, it was nice to ride around and have an "insider" from Brooklyn share tales of the neighborhood. THis is our 2nd Zerve tour and we recommend them to everyone. Our guide, Tony, was a lot of fun and very knowledgeable about the history and background of all the places we visited on our tour. The film clips played as we rode down the same location and it was a lot of fu n. A very nice way to spend an afternoon and of course,,,,,Grimaldi's pizzia...what more could you want.

Tony has a love and knowledge of Brooklyn that is unparrelled. I think that the vast majority of people visiting the New York area will enjoy this trip. I know that I plan to recommend it to my friends!

This tour gives you a great chance to see a little more than just Manhattan. If you are an avid movie watcher, you will see A LOT of very familiar places. The chance to go into Grimaldi's past the line up is awesome (and so is the pizza). The tour covers a lot of ground in Brooklyn and Tony the tour guide is second to none. He is very passionate and knowledgeable about Brooklyn and you leave feeling like you got a little more out of a trip to NYC than the average person! The tour did feel a little bit long to us, but I think that takes into consideration the time it takes to get to Brooklyn and back to Manhattan again (in that lovely NYC traffic!).

Very informative, funny, super yummy, quick, no boring parts and a most comfy ride thru Brooklyn. We now have a very different and delightful viewpoint of Brooklyn than when we started the tour. We made notes on our iphone on the pizza places so that we can return with more friends and family. Lots of useful info too...like the free ferry to Ikea!!! Thanks Tony!!!!

Excellant Tour - Highly Recommend

My two son's (18 & 20) and I would highly recommend A Slice of Brooklyn Pizza tour to anyone visiting New York. My son's wanted to make sure we ate pizza during our trip to NY and this tour turned out to be the high light of our trip to NYC. We have been on other tours in NYC and other cities, but this tour is one that we talked about days afterwards. We had a very good time with our tour guide (Paula) and she was very informative and gave us a lot of facts that people don't know about Brooklyn. The movie clips of the different places that were filmed in Brooklyn that we visited during the tour was very enjoyable and an added extra that we had not seen on other tours before. And last but not least - - - the pizza that we got to eat was out of this world and I myself do not care for pizza, but I would eat at the places that the tour stopped at again. All three of us know that we will never eat that good of a pizza again unless it is in Brooklyn. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, not only for the excellant pizza, but for the visit to Brooklyn!

Want to see a different side to NYC?

Bored with skyscrapers? Sick of hot dawgs & pretzels? Want to see a different side to NYC? The Slice of Brooklyn Pizza tour might just be the right tour for you. Having visited New York on several previous occasions, we had a desire to see something other than the traditional sights of Manhattan. The tour fulfilled our expectations. Led by our enthusiastic guide, we were given the opportunity to try 2 different kinds of pizza (including the famous Grimaldi's where we skipped past the long line outside the restaurant and were shown to our pre-booked table ... Sinatra wouldn't have had better treatment). We saw the Manhattan skyline from Brooklyn (where it's far more impressive than looking up at the towering buildings from within the great canyons of Manhattan itself); re-enacted the opening scene of Saturday Night Fever and walked along the famous Coney Island Boardwalk. A courteous, enthusiastic and knowledgeable host; good food and some great sights. A fantastic way to spend 4 hours. (Incidentally, we did this trip on the last day of our vacation ... it was an ideal activity to do when the bags had already been packed in readiness for our flight back to the UK).

Leave Manhattan for 4 hrs. You'll be glad you did!

My wife and I make an annual pilgrimage to Manhattan to visit museums and shop. We've always thought about heading over to Brooklyn to check out the happenings on the other side of the river, but we never knew where to start. So when we heard about the pizza tour, it sounded like the perfect way to to get an intro to another borough. And what a great tour it was. You can read all the stats and details on your own -- let me say that it was a flat out fun way to spend four hours. Tony (tour guide and owner) is excited about his hometown and by the time the tour is over you will be too. His presentation is loaded with history, pop culture references and plenty of laughs. The pizza is amazing. And now my wife and I know enough about Brooklyn to strike out on our own. Book the tour! Book the tour!

Don't Miss This Tour - It's FABULOUS

My granddaughter and I were visiting NYC as her graduation gift. This was no doubt one of the highlights of the trip. This tour takes you away from the hustle and bustle of NYC and transports you into a beautiful NY neighborhood. Paula, our guide and Tony's cousin, was absolutely wonderful. Being from Brooklyn, she was full of stories and memories to share. Her narration and delivery style were full of fun, grit, and lots of "insider" info. This tour is worth every penny - fabulous pizza and spumoni, just enough walking, lots of laughs. Delores was our driver. What a jewel and BOY, did she do a great job getting us around town and out of tight spots. Don't miss this tour opportunity. It's a jewel and Brooklyn is beautiful.
