More than just pizza!

We thought the tour was great! The guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and constantly concerned with our comfort. The video presentations in the bus to match the tour was very creative and a great help when discussing TV/movie locations. We'd go again in a heartbeat!

I have travelled all over the world and been on more tours than I can count. This was one of the best. It is professional, informative and entertaining. Tony is fantastic and it was just a great way to spend a day in New York City.

The tour was great.! Being from Illinois we have always wanted to visit Brocklyn. The tour guide, Tony Muia, was outstanding and very knowlegeable. The bus was extremely comfortable . We will be telling all our friends what a wonderful time we had and recommend that they also take the trip. We are normally in NYC at least once a year and will be looking forward to other trip that Mr Muia will be the tour guide.

The tour guide was personable and bouyant....full of energy and never flagged over the few hours of the tour.....made everybody on board feel welcome and particularly was good with some chlldren on the bus. We had never been thru Brooklyn before so some of the neighborhoods were surprisingly nice to us and to our French friends who were our guests....actually changed their idea of what Brooklyn was like!

This was the first time we had ever taken a food tour and it will not be the last. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed every moment of both the bus tour and the food stops. We will be back to enjoy another one of your tours.

Great tour of Brooklyn

Tony, Uncle Lou and Cousin Paula were all great chaperones on a tour that definitily takes you to places you would never think of seeing while in Brooklyn. Seeing the home from the "Goodfellas" movie was a highlight for me. The tour of Coney Island was cool as well. Lots of photo opportunities including DUMBO and the Brooklyn Bridge promenade. The tour van was very comfortable which would be key in the summer months. The only negative I can say is thinking there would be additional pizza parlors we would visit other than the two. BUT even if we did visit others I doubt I would have been able to eat anything more after our visits to the incredible Grimaldi's and L & B Spumoni's. Worth the money (passing the dozens of people in line at Grimaldi's made the money spent worth it alone!)

An interesting diversion

I read about the tour in Fromer's guide, but was categorised immediately as having heard about the tour on a travel show. Did not bode well. The tour was not about pizza but about Brooklyn. There were statements about the pizza being the best in the world. A quick trip to Italy will prove otherwise. The host was informative and there was a real push to show Brooklyn. Nice enough but this was a pizza tour and there were only two pizza places to experience the "pies". The tour was typical of the perception that America has the best - best food (see the rest of the world and reality will sink in), best bridge (again see the rest of world). So be weary of the tendency in a typical American way to assume that the pizza's in Brooklyn are the best and that Brooklyn is the best borough and have a laugh at the plastic palm tree sitting all alone on Coney Island beach.

Great way to have fun and learn at the same time

The pizza restaurants represented different pizza cuisines and were both outstanding. Our tour guide explained much about Brooklyn and New York in general. She made the tour most interesting by adding personal anecdotes that brought great realism to all she was saying. The showing of movie clips matching our actual locations was quite entertaining. The musical background also added to our entertainment. In general, I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn about real life New York/Brooklyn.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this tour!!!!!!

This tour was WONDERFUL!!! Paula was our tour guide and she was the best!! We loved having a true Brooklynite take us around her town and tell us all about it! She never sounded like she was reciting a speech, she was just telling us about her town and you could tell how much she loved it!! She never hurried us, and gave us time to see the sights and ask as many questions as we wanted, offered to take pictures for us, and was just a complete joy!! The Pizza was wonderful!! I took pictures for family and friends at home to see how beautiful they were! The movie clips were always shown as just the right time! Now I can't wait to watch those movies now that I am home and show my family. I can't say enough how wonderful Paula was, and I recommend this to EVERYONE!! I live in Texas so I don't know if I will ever get back to NYC, but if I do, I will do this tour again!!
