The tour was terrific. It was the real deal from Tony to the pizzas to the spumoni to the film clips of the actual locations we were looking at. Tony's knowledge and attentiveness to all of his customers made for a wonderful day. Looking forward to another Tour with Tony.

Tony is awesome...he's funny, charming, interesting...the tour included information on the political landscape of Brooklyn to famous people born and or raised there with lots of fun facts in between. The pizza was delicious!

This tour is a must-do for anyone visiting NYC. The enthusiasm of the host and his pride in Brooklyn is infectious. By the end of the tour my son wanted to live there. Yes the pizzas were great, but the memories of Brooklyn are what will stay with us, even the garage where Joe Pesci was whacked in Goodfellas!

our guide Tony did the tour in a very special way, in the same time, he told us very interesting things about the history of Brooklyn, the buildings and local politics. I like that, this is much better then the usual stuff, i mean just showing people around and telling stories about buildings and facts that had happen without telling you about the background of all.

IT WAS PIZZA-RIFIC!!!!!

I was a little wary of how good this tour would actually be to be honest. Although having now done the tour, I must highly recommend this to any person visiting New York and the surrounding areas. I am disabled, however there were no really long walks etc, however I would possibly recommend to Tony that he gets a bus with lower steps on it, as the steps on the bus did prove a struggle. I guess New York doesn't really cater for disabled people, what with its bustling non stop daily life. Now back to the tour itself .... Tony and Jimmy were great fun. Tony constantly spoke to the group at all times, and informed of places where movies had been made etc. I couldn't believe that so much had actually taken place in Brooklyn!!! My favourite pizza was in the pizzaria wher Old Blue Eyes himself (Frank Sinatra) requented. I didn't particularly like the one we had at the pizzaria where the guys from The Sopranos go. But you win some and you lose some eh? Anyway what are you waiting for people .... get on the website and book to go on this tour .... if you don't you'll only live to regret it my friends! Ciao Tony

Excellent Day Out

This was a really good tour: a friendly and very knowledgeable tour guide and a good combination of coach and walking. The pizza was delicious and it was interesting to try the two completely different types. I loved seeing the sidewalk from the opening of Saturday Night Fever and Coney Island was great - perhaps a bit longer there would have been good. Excellent value for money and heartily recommended

Carol and I loved it. Tony and James were excellent. The group and bus were just the right size. My son and I are coming back to New York in March and I am going to take the tour again with him. The TV screen on the bus was way more than I expected. Tony should let James tell his bay gulls (bagels) joke on every tour. Can not beat the price. I would like to have stayed at Coney Island a little longer. Please add Jrs Cheesecake to the tour. Tony and James kept the tour fresh and lively. My rating from 1-10 is 20.

Despite living in Brooklyn I found this tour really informative and it was a great way to go places I've always known about but never got a chance to visit, like the Brooklyn Bridge park and Grimaldi's. I went because I had family visiting who wanted to try some of the reknowned pizza places in Brooklyn and have a good look around and we weren't disappointed. Both pizza places were amazing, and just being able to shoot to the head of the long line at Grimaldi's was worth the price of the tour. We definetly didn't go hungry. There were ample picture momemnts along the tour too, with wonderful views of the bridges and the Manhattan skyline and Coney Island. The guide kept up a lively narration filled with personal, historical, and pop-culture stories. The video clips of films shot in Brooklyn shown as we passed those locations was a great touch. This tour has it all, info, food, ambience, and lots of fun. I reccommend it to anyone who wants to get to know Brooklyn better, including people from other boroughs as well as out-of-towners. I look forward to more tours by this provider, maybe one that's all movie sites?

Worth Every Penny

Whether you’ve lived in New York for years or you’re just visiting, you should make it a point to take the Slice of Brooklyn Pizza Tour. I’ve been to New York several times over the last two years to visit my sister, who lives in Brooklyn, and this is the most fun I’ve had in the city. This tour is about more than just pizza. The tour guide, Tony, has an obvious passion for and unending knowledge of New York. From the moment the tour bus pulls away from Union Square, he is pointing out sites from movies and explaining the history behind the city’s landmarks. A TV screen in the bus plays clips from movies filmed in NY as you pass the locations, making you feel connected with the likes of Robert De Niro and John Travolta. Apart from telling you the city’s rich history, Tony gives you his honest opinion of how it will change in the future, pointing out future locations of luxury condos where warehouses now stand. Tony also knows where to stop to give you the best photo ops in Brooklyn. The tour will take you to Brooklyn Bridge Park, where you can get amazing shots of the Brooklyn Bride and Manhattan skyline, as well as Coney Island, whose iconic landscape is about to change dramatically. And let’s not forget—the pizza. I’ve eaten a lot of pizza in my 23 years, and it was strange to come across a pizza that I could honestly call the best I’ve ever had. You can tell that a lot of thought was put into choosing the pizza parlors, offering you a chance to try the best thin crust and Sicilian pizza that Brooklyn has to offer. I was also impressed and pleased by how well organized and carefully orchestrated this tour is. You will emerge full and enriched with NY history and trivia. It’s worth every penny.

A Love Poem to Brooklyn
Mon, Sep 3, 07   11:00 AM slyone Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
This tour hawks itself as a semi-hokey "pizza tour" of Brooklyn, and we dragged our two adult children along with the thought that at least they would be well fed. And they were. But this tour is so much more than that. It's Tony M's love poem to his native town, and he made us love it too. As seen through Tony's eyes, Brooklyn is a teeming, fascinating, vibrant collection of neighborhoods, under threat at every turn by developers and big money. He is an historic preservationist at heart, and he showed us why we should be too. The movie clips were great fun, but the best video was the collection of Brooklynites played at the end of the tour. An amazing assortment of America's finest. We loved this tour!
