Excellent Eating and Sightseeing

We especially enjoyed the thin crust pizza from Grimaldi's at the beginning of the tour. Touring all the different neighborhoods of Brooklyn was interesting and the tour guide Paula provided excellent and informative commentary.

The tour was well organized, on time & fun. The only bad thing is that the weather was terrible for sightseeing -in or out of the mini-bus. If only the windows would have de-fogged better. Paula (our guide) however was not to be defeated and carried on enthusiastically. Danny, the driver navigated the slippery roads like a pro. Walking thru 4" of snow on Coney Islands board walk would not be something I'd do again, great pictures though. The pizza at both locations was as good as it gets, and there plenty to eat- and leftover. She said at the beginning that a large group had cancelled so the only thing I wonder is if there would have been the same amount of pizza, which would have stretched it thin. Overall a solid "10" with a 5 handicap for the snow.

The Brooklyn Pizza tour was wonderful. It was a combination of sighseeing and eating great NY pizza. The time went so quickly. Our guide was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and keep us all interested. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting NYC.

We enjoyed the tour very much.

We would definetly recommend the tour to our friends in Texas. There is nothing in Texas remotely like Brooklyn. We always stay in Manhattan and end up doing and seeing the same things. The tour was someting different to do. We would not have been able to see and do everything we did if we had gone to Brooklyn by ourselves. We especially liked seeing Coney Island and walking on that Board Walk. Our tour guide was great! She did a fine job.

What a wonderful way to experience a taste of NYC! A great tour filled with facts, history, trivia, tasty food, and new found friends. Our tour guide Paula, gave us a true insiders view of all the places you've heard about, and have seen in films and NY stories. She was an added treat! The food was plentiful and delicious. Tucked away and popular with all those in the know, it was too tasty for words! The restaurant staff were all friendly and quick to answer questions. Pizza like you've never had. Only in NYC! We never would have experienced this extraordinary pizza without this tour, and the wonderful folks who organized this trip! This is our second year of participating in the tours and have yet to be disappointed! Don't miss out on this great NY extravaganza. I've already recommended it to my family and friends who will be visiting the city soon! We loved it!

Good overview, albeit lacking in depth ...

It wasn't the pizza, but rather the bus tour of Brooklyn which highlighted this outing. We walked underneath the Brooklyn Bridge and walked along the boardwalk in Coney Island, driving through fascinating and diverse neighborhoods in between. The pizza angle was not emphasized; and this was OK with me. Nevertheless, if you are a serious foodie you may be unsatisfied. We stopped at two places: (a) Grimaldi's for Neapolitan-style and (b) Lombardi's for Sicilian-style. The visits were strictly dining-room. No one from either establishment met with us for Q&A or to show us the kitchens or ovens. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour myself; but then again I signed on more for the Brooklyn experience than to learn about the NY pizza scene.

Truly Loved this Tour!!

Five sisters-in-law from Louisville, Kentucky loved this tour. Tony was absolutely perfect, full of insider knowledge about Brooklyn. The film clips are a great addition, especially for a movie buff, and seeing the actual places where scenes in famous movies were filmed was really cool. The history behind the pizza places we visited was so interesting and the pizza was awesome. I have visited NYC numerous times and this was one of the most special things I have done. You should go on this tour.

Lead by Paula, she was knowledgeable, personable and just loved her Brooklyn. As a tall person the seats were quite comfortable and there were enough stops to avoid feeling too closed in. Did not expect the historical end of the trip and that made it that much more enjoyable. Was thrilled that it just wasn't about Pizza. Went to my exercise swim class on Monday and raved about it a few people then asked me how and where to sign up. So yes it is highly recommended. Thanks for a great time.

I would reccommend it

I would reccommend this tour because it is a great way to see an area that you may not otherwise see. The movie clips of Brooklyn were a treat and I would suggest they actually include a DVD of the clips. The pizza was so so, nothing really out of the ordinary. The guide was Tony's cousin and she was very personable. I thought it was slightly over priced yet I did enjoy it alot.
