The tour takes you to places that you would otherwise not encounter and gives a nice history of Brooklyn. The pizza's are great and Tony’s enthusiasm makes for a fun day.

What a Way to See Brooklyn

This was simply awesome. The choice of pizza was fantastic and the sights were outstanding. To have such a wide range of historical and pop culture locations to soak up was, I feel, unique. And our guide was perfect, from his knowledge to his sense of humour and even his choice of words and the way he spoke. It truly brought it alive for someone who had only seen this part of the world on TV and in the movies. Highly Recommended!

Myself and my husband have done this tour twice before and enjoyed it so much we did it a third time. The tour is fun, interesting and a great way to try two amazing pizzerias. Tony, the tour guide, is a proud Brooklynite who shares a wealth of information about Brooklyn and it's pizza! We would highly recommend the tour and I'm sure we'll do it again ourselves on our next trip to New York.

After many trips to Manhattan I decided to venture over the bridge into Brooklyn. I decided on the Pizza tour and it was fantastic. Tony is an excellent tour guide and you can tell the passion he has for Brooklyn and how much he loves his job. The bus took us around to various neighborhoods, with 2 pizza stops. The Sicilian Pizza was amazing and I would highly recommend this tour.

I'm a big fan of pizza in the first place, which means that I suspected I'd enjoy the tour. Funnily enough, that's not what makes it so special. For sure, the pizza at Grimaldi's (walking past the queues outside) is fantastic, probably the best you'll ever have. The tour is made, though, by the enthusiasm of Tony, a Brooklynite through and through, who takes you to places famous from the movies and from mob killings. In case you don't remember the movies - don't worry, Tony plays clips in the very comfortable bus as you're going past the locations. Especially memorable are the Saturday Night Fever and French Connection clips - you're really there! This is probably the best tour I've ever done - my only criticism would be that it ended too soon! Well done Tony, I'm sure you'll enjoy much success!

My husband and I went on this tour and really enjoyed it. The pizza was amazing and the sights Tony shows you are interesting. Tony is really enthusiastic and very professional. The film clips he shows you are an excellent addition. He clearly loves Brooklyn and this shows in what he tells you about it. He's one funny guy. Overall it was great to see Brooklyn on this well organized and friendly tour. Definitely worth a look if you're going to New York.

Tony was enthusiastic and entertaining. I enjoyed the history of Brooklyn from a native point of view and the pizza was incredible. The tour was a good mix of being on the bus and listening to Tony with intermittent snippets of movie scenes filmed in the neighbourhoods we visited . It was great to have a few locations to get out and walk around as well as being able to jump to the front of the long line for our preordered pizza. I highly recommend this tour, it was well worth the money. Thank you

WOW. From the time of booking (I had questions) to pick up in the lovely modern van, was absolute perfection. Lucked into the best day weather wise in NY that weekend. Tony was amazing. Loved that you got to get out and explore. PIZZA stops amazing. I have walked Brooklyn Bridge to Manhattan but did not know about area Tony took us to. This tour wants me to go and explore brooklyn more. Loved the MOVIE clips shown when you were in the area. Never felt rushed and Tony always had time for questions. Great humour too. MY only critique and it is a small one........I would have loved to had time to explore CONEY on boardwalk more, only about 5 min more to take some pics as we were walking with Tony and had to keep up to hear his history. LOVED IT! Cant wait to take friends next time in New York or other tours Tony does.

A Slice of Brooklyn was a fantastic tour - quite the best thing in a wonderful week in New York. I went with my daughter and her boyfriend (aged 18 and 17), having seen it recommended in the Lonely Planet guide, and we had a great time. I seem to remember seeing on a website that the tour took in 10 pizza parlours, and that had felt a bit daunting - we all love pizza and eat plenty, but 10 seemed a bit OTT, however the tour only included 2 pizza places, and that was just right. Tony who runs the tour knows Brooklyn inside out, and was a good guide - friendly, amusing and helpful. The video clips he'd put together to illustrate how the locations we visited were used in films and TV shows were well researched, and brilliantly timed to the tour. And the two pizza parlours, Grimaldi's and Spumoni Gardens, were fabulous. Great food, great history, and I learned a lot about the politics of town planning in Brooklyn in particular. I hadn't realised we'd be going to Coney Island as part of it, and that was a real bonus - we'd planned a trip there later in the week, so that saved us time to see other places. I recommended the trip to other people we met at the hotel, and am really looking forward to returning to New York so I can go on other tours Tony is planning. Just brilliant!

as someone who avoids tours like the plague i cannot reccommend A Slice of Brooklyn Pizza Tour highly enough.Tony our guide was extremely informative and enthusiastic about the area he comes from.his enthusiasm only helped us to enjoy the day more.We learnt so much about Brooklyn, and visited areas we would never have been to.As someone who has only spent time in Manhattan it was enlightening to see what one of the other boroughs has to offer. And as for the pizza, two completely contrasting types but both outstanding.Without doubt the highlight of our recent trip to NYC.
