I took this tour with my Mom, and both of us are New York natives. We had heard about it some time back and went in not knowing what to expect. Let me tell you, we were absolutely floored! This is obviously one of the best things to do in New York, and this is from someone who's lived here all my life. The star of the tour is Tony, a native Brooklynite who loves his city and his borough fiercely, and is kind, charming, hilarious, knowledgeable, accomodating--everything a guide should be! The pizza was the best I've had in my life, and even my Mother (who's biased towards pizza from The Bronx) agreed it was quite special. The group on my tour was loads of fun, and everyone got along nicely. It felt more like an outing with old friends than anything else. For people coming into the city and figuring out what to do, I can't think of a better thing. I agree with Tony that it's a shame people would leave NY without experiencing all the city has to offer. There's more to see than just the Empire State Building and Statue of Liberty! Take Tony's pizza tour if you want to see gems around Brooklyn and have a truly unforgettable experience! You can't miss with this tour! Bravo, Tony, and all the best to you! I'll probably be back to take another tour soon! - Joe from Queens

We were a little apprehensive about how good the pizza really could be, as we've tried pizza around the country and have had some pretty good pizza. Well, Grimaldi's and Spumoni's are at the top of the list. Grimaldi serves a neopolitan ( thin crust ) pizza that's to die for, but you won't ever taste a better thick crust pizza as light and tasty as at Spumoni's. ..It's hard to believe a pizza that thick could be so light and tasty. Top that off with their home made spumoni and the great , educational tour of Brooklyn by Tony... You couldn't ask for a better tour and dining experience to give you a true flavor of Brooklyn.

| My wife and I are from Queens, everyone else on the tour was from out of town, and we all agreed the tour was great. Tony is an excellent guide; he knows and loves Brooklyn and pizza.
I'd been to all the best pizzerias in Manhattan and Queens, but Grimaldi's (our 1st stop) may top them all. We never get to Brooklyn, and this was a great way to see it and get around. I'm normally not a big fan of Sicilian-style pizza, but L&B's (2nd pizza stop) was by far the best I've ever had.
The tour bus was the perfect size--we weren't cramped yet we didn't feel like tourists either. It was fun and surreal to watch the movie clips as we were right next to the locales.
I got this tour as a present--it is a great gift.
We loved everything about the tour (Tony, the pizza, Coney Island, our fellow pizza-eaters...) and highly recommend it.

We thought the tour was great! The guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and constantly concerned with our comfort. The video presentations in the bus to match the tour was very creative and a great help when discussing TV/movie locations. We'd go again in a heartbeat!

Those are the things that come to my mind when I think back on the tour I took. "A Slice of Brooklyn" was the highlight of my trip not necessarily because of the pizza which is good, but the knowledge, and passion that Tony gives as the tour guide is very uplifting almost spiritual. I only which i felt as passionate about something as he seems to feel about his home neighborhood. His attitude made the whole trip fun and educational. Put that with great pizza some interesting movie clips, and a ride on a great wooden roller coaster you have a recipe for fun. These are only some of the reasons you should do this tour. Others include the small group so you actually get to talk and meet people, VIP treatment at the restraunts where you get to avoid the lines and walk right in. I cannot encourage you any more than to tell you to spend your money and have some fun with A Slice of Brooklyn, you won't regret it.
