| A Slice of Brooklyn was a fantastic tour - quite the best thing in a wonderful week in New York. I went with my daughter and her boyfriend (aged 18 and 17), having seen it recommended in the Lonely Planet guide, and we had a great time. I seem to remember seeing on a website that the tour took in 10 pizza parlours, and that had felt a bit daunting - we all love pizza and eat plenty, but 10 seemed a bit OTT, however the tour only included 2 pizza places, and that was just right. Tony who runs the tour knows Brooklyn inside out, and was a good guide - friendly, amusing and helpful. The video clips he'd put together to illustrate how the locations we visited were used in films and TV shows were well researched, and brilliantly timed to the tour. And the two pizza parlours, Grimaldi's and Spumoni Gardens, were fabulous. Great food, great history, and I learned a lot about the politics of town planning in Brooklyn in particular. I hadn't realised we'd be going to Coney Island as part of it, and that was a real bonus - we'd planned a trip there later in the week, so that saved us time to see other places. I recommended the trip to other people we met at the hotel, and am really looking forward to returning to New York so I can go on other tours Tony is planning. Just brilliant! |

| as someone who avoids tours like the plague i cannot reccommend A Slice of Brooklyn Pizza Tour highly enough.Tony our guide was extremely informative and enthusiastic about the area he comes from.his enthusiasm only helped us to enjoy the day more.We learnt so much about Brooklyn, and visited areas we would never have been to.As someone who has only spent time in Manhattan it was enlightening to see what one of the other boroughs has to offer. And as for the pizza, two completely contrasting types but both outstanding.Without doubt the highlight of our recent trip to NYC. |

| This was a fantatic trip which we would recommend to anyone visiting the city - Tony is funny, charming and full of information about his area and pizza of course! The bus was really comfortable, the other passengers friendly and all in all it was a really fun way to spend an afternoon. It was definately one of the highlights of our one week trip from Ireland. Next time we come back to New York we will 'fugedabout' Manhattan and be heading straight for Brooklyn! |

| This tour had two aims, eating great pizza and Brooklyn sightseeing. I am pleased to say that it met both objectives with flying colours. Tony is a most engaging tour guide. If you left him to it, he could talk about the geography, demographics, history and culture of Brooklyn for hours, and what's more it would all be compelling listening. Tony clearly loves Brooklyn, and that is obvious to anyone that takes the tour.
The pizza at both Grimaldi's and Spumoni Gardens was delicious, and unlike any pizza I have had anywhere else. As for the sightseeing, Brooklyn Bridge was a predictable, albeit essential place to visit. We also visited the Manhattan Bridge down the river. However, it is when we left the shore of the East River and headed into unknown territory in deepest Brooklyn that the already high interest level rose still further. I loved Bay Ridge (yes, Brooklyn does have middle class areas!). Also fascinating were the areas of Bensonhurst, Dyker Heights and Bath Beach and their Italian-American influences. We saw the pizzeria where John Travolta purchased a pizza in 'Saturday Night Fever', and a few other locations from that film. We drove down the road featured in the car chase in 'The French Connection'. We visited the Coney Island Boardwalk and on the way back to Manhattan passed from various intriguing Ethnic neighbourhoods.
One possible suggestion for future improvement. Make the tour 2-3 hours longer, so that we can discover even more areas of Brooklyn and we can make more stops at points of interest. And eat more pizza of course!
Overall, an excellent tour. My perception of Brooklyn has changed forever. The next day I was on the D train back to Coney Island. I now find myself saying 'Forget About It' at random times! As the trailer says, you can take the tourist out of Brooklyn, but you can't take Brooklyn out of the tourist... |

| One of the best tours I've ever taken! Tony is an amazing guide--his passion for Brooklyn and for pizza make this a memorable trip. We enjoyed seeing the different neighbourhoods and sites in Brooklyn, and hearing the stories associated with them. And eating the best pizza we've ever had! We are recommending this tour to all our friends -- and we are hoping that Tony's new tour is ready soon! |

| Hi we booked this tour after reading reviews and recommendations online. We had the pleasure of a small group tour because we visited in February probably one of the less busy times in NY. However a big or small group this tour would be fun.Toni was a great host from start to finish, his knowledge of brooklyn and pizza was 10/10. His tour covered various brooklyn areas, famous movie spots and two of the best pizza joints that you will ever visit. This tour combines walking and using private bus. I have to say this tour is something different to the usual Manhattan sight seeing events and its all down to a genuinely nice guy. Thanks Toni. Make sure if you book this tour, go with an empty stomach, cuz the pizza is yum and plentiful.
(P.S Toni we got engaged next day on the brooklyn bridge) |

| We had a brilliant time on this tour, and Tony was a passionate, engaging and informative guide whose passion for Pizza and Brooklyn shone clearly.
The tour bus was very comfortable and screens above our heads gave us lots of great film clips to watch as we toured through the streets of Brooklyn.
The pizza at both restaurants was great, though we preferred Grimaldi's for the flatter base and great flavours.
All in all, a great tour and highly recommended! |
