| I forgot that I had booked the tour after 10 days in New York.
Thanks to Paula (our tour guide) ringing me & the guys at Verve translating Paula's Brooklynese instructions to go to 'Ord Fulton' into 'Old Fulton', we were able to catch up to the tour at Grimaldis.
Very pleased we did, had a great time.
Paula was a terrific guide.
Thanks Paula!
Thanks Verve!
John & Lorraine.
PS Will not forget next time! |

| Paula was our tour guide and did a very good job describing each area we went through.Proud to be a Brooklynite. During the bus ride at certain points a video was shown from movies from the same area. Saturday Night Fever was a major talking point. Some sort of icon of Brooklyn thing. For me, she might have over selled the pizza. Grimaldi's was a good pizza with an excellent crunchy base, but to me a cheese n tomato pizza is not going to earn any bragging rights as the best pizza in town. Again, same with L & B's, more topping choices are needed. The idea of putting the tomato on top of the cheese is great, normally you can't tell which is cheese or the skin from your lips when you take a bite of the pizza. I was disappointed when after my third piece of pizza I was full. You're eating more bread than actual topping. The only minor, ney, major disappointment ( for me of course ) was during our walk around Coney, Paula never mentioned anything about the best movie ever, The Warriors. The wonder wheel in the opening credits, the train stopping at stillwell ave, the warriors are from coney. Maybe "a slice of brooklyn pizza tour" could be the wrong title. You only stop at 2 places while the most of the tour is talking about Brooklyn. When you go on a pub crawl you go to more than 2 pubs. The funniest moment was before we got to Grimaldi's, Paula said don't look at the people standing in line. You can't help but look. She was right. There's a kind of hatred on their faces when you jump the line. Overall a good four - five hours discription about Brooklyns area and people. |

| This was a great way to spend our one day in NYC. We wanted something different and this tour offered it - plus the wine and pizza was great, too! |

| A fantastic half day out! There are so many great things to see in the beautful Borough of Brooklyn, plus you get to sample some excellent pizza!
As a movie buff, history buff and someone quite partial to a slice of pizza, this tour was very enjoyable.
Brooklyn is a must see if you've got time in NYC, and this tour was fantastic - witty and interesting commentary, comfortable bus, great photo opportunities. |

| A Slice of Brooklyn Pizza tour was a great way to see and learn about Brooklyn, while getting a chance to eat some excellent pizza with people from around the world. Our tour guide, Paula, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. She brought a great local perspective, and shared many interesting stories about her family, and the history of Brooklyn. All the logistics of the tour were outstanding. Bus arrived on time, and we actually started the tour 10 minutes early. Tables were waiting for us at the pizza parlors, and we were in and out, with a sit-down pizza in 30 minutes. Paula was very attentive to the group, whether it was maintaining temperature control on the bus, or taking pictures with the Brooklyn Bridge in the background.
We met folks from Australia, Finland and California on the tour, and the stops gave everyone a great chance to get to know one another. |
