What a fantastic tour! We had a great time seeing Brooklyn, eating pizza and especially with Paula - the amazing tour guide. Everyone should get to see Brooklyn this way.

A fantastic half day out! There are so many great things to see in the beautful Borough of Brooklyn, plus you get to sample some excellent pizza! As a movie buff, history buff and someone quite partial to a slice of pizza, this tour was very enjoyable. Brooklyn is a must see if you've got time in NYC, and this tour was fantastic - witty and interesting commentary, comfortable bus, great photo opportunities.

Best Ever Tour in NY

Wow! What a great way to experience Brooklyn! Not your typical "look to the left, look to the right" type tour guide. (I've forgotten his name) was raised in Brooklyn so he knows this borough forward and backwards and brings to life the different areas, history and tastes of Brooklyn. It was fun, informative and organized very well, but not in a regimented way. Lots of opportunities to take pictures, walk the Coney Island Boardwalk, taste the delightful pizza and just enjoy the very pleasant day. I intend to recommend this tour to anyone I know who will be visiting NY!!

It was absolutely great - Tony is The Bomb!

This was the second time we had visited NYC. We were looking for some fun and unusual things to do and saw the review for this activity in the Toronto Star. That was the reason we booked and we were not disappointed. Tony has a great love of Brooklyn, knows all the little bits of gossip and folklore. Being movie buffs we loved the movie references and clips that came along with the tour . . . and I could almost taste knishes. It gave us a completely different perspective of NYC and Brooklyn. Would love to visit Coney Island in the summer time. I hope they are successful at revitalization and capturing this piece of the past. We have all seen too much urban renewal! Tony - keep up the great work!

Wonderful!

Tony was filled with passion for Brooklyn. His knowledge and his ability to transfer that knowledge in an intersting way was wonderful. Tony was friendly and fun. Oh, and the pizza was great too! Both stops were tasty, but I preferred Spumoni Gardens. Highly recommend this tour. Kevin was a wonderful driver as well!

Extraordinary

It was an outstanding tour. Tony our guide was informed, enthusiastic, full of energy, an allover fantastic guide. A Brooklynite to the core, he exuded love of the borough. Coming originally from The Bronx, I saw Brooklyn in an entirely diferent light at the end of the tour. I definitely will recommend it to others. it was a perfect day, foodwise, guidewise and weatherwise.

Great, but one more would be better....

We thought there would be more pizza. Apparently one of the places was burned and temporarily out of business, but something might have been substituted... I would recommend that a local, quickie map be provided of Brooklyn that is in sync with the points of interest. Since different tour guides (we had Paula, a kick) have different points of interest there would be extra, but that's okay -- it would be a good reason for folks to take the tour again. We really did enjoy it -- well done and good luck getting into your house in Bay Ridge, Paula.

It's not just about the pizza!

I saw this tour on 'Getaway' and assumed we would only be seeing the inside of 2 pizza shops. What an understatement! I loved driving through Brooklyn and seeing where many movies were filmed. Through the eyes of Paula, our guide, we saw the Brooklyn that she grew up in and loved. It is fabulous to see a family working together to share the good and bad of their beloved neighbourhood. I look forward to my next trip to New York and another Slice Of Brooklyn experience.

Slice of Brooklyn was a great way to see Brooklyn
Fri, Sep 25  11:00 AM johndrake Male 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
A Slice of Brooklyn Pizza tour was a great way to see and learn about Brooklyn, while getting a chance to eat some excellent pizza with people from around the world. Our tour guide, Paula, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. She brought a great local perspective, and shared many interesting stories about her family, and the history of Brooklyn. All the logistics of the tour were outstanding. Bus arrived on time, and we actually started the tour 10 minutes early. Tables were waiting for us at the pizza parlors, and we were in and out, with a sit-down pizza in 30 minutes. Paula was very attentive to the group, whether it was maintaining temperature control on the bus, or taking pictures with the Brooklyn Bridge in the background. We met folks from Australia, Finland and California on the tour, and the stops gave everyone a great chance to get to know one another.
