Just a quick note to let you know how much we enjoyed our tour. When I booked it for myself and three friends; I was expecting to have Tony do the tour - as seen on the Today Show. At first I was a little disappointed BUT Paula was the best.
Just a little suggestion (if I may). Since you have the DVD players - maybe a short intro from Tony thanking us for being on the tour might be nice. Just a thought.
With that said...
Would do it again in a heartbeat with another group of friends.
Let Paula know that we were the group with the girlfriend who wore the Zebra striped dress - something not easy to forget and Ryan who is moving to Smith Street.
Thanks again for a most enjoyable day.
Regards
Christine (born in Brooklyn) Morby |

I booked "A Slice Of Brooklyn" as a celebration for my son's college graduation. Our family group of 10, all from the New York metro area, ranged from ages 12 to 83, and everyone agrees that the tour was FANTASTIC! My son had attended school in Boston all four years had bemoaned the loss of REAL New York City pizza. That, plus being in the studio audience of The Daily Show when Stewart skewered The Donald for sacrilegiously taking Sarah Palin to a chain pizzeria during her NYC visit AND daring to eat the pizza in a manner insulting to true New Yorkers (see http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/wed-june-1-2011/me-lover-s-pizza-with-crazy-broad ), made choosing A Slice Of Brooklyn a no-brainer. What I was unsure of was whether touring Brooklyn would be as entertaining for our group as the pizza tasting, especially for my sister, brother in law, and niece who LIVED in Brooklyn. Turns out Paula brought us to areas of Brooklyn even they were not familiar with. The synchronizing of the many movie clips with the "You Are At That Exact Spot RIGHT NOW" was a total blast!
I think the highlight of the trip to me was Coney Island. I had not been there is 30 years, and forgot how zany it is, but how refreshing it was to walk on the boardwalk feeling that seabreeze on an 90+ degree day with that salt water smell, the screams eminating from the Cyclone...
Oh and... who could forget??? THE PIZZA. Yum!!!!! Excellent!!! Delicious!!!! Loved loved loved it! Going back on the diet TOMORROW!!!!
Paula, THANK YOU, you were a great tour guide, smart and sassy and patient! I honestly can't wait until that Bar Crawl is finalized because we WILL be back, though sans my 12 year old niece. :)
HIGHLY recommended, do NOT miss this! |

We had taken the Brooklyn loop tour through another bus touring company on a previous trip to NY. This "Slice of Brooklyn Tour" by far exceeded the other tour! Not only was there A LOT of pizza to be eaten, Paula was so personable and entertaining throughout the entire tour. She was even our personal photographer! Great tour! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! |

My sister and I went on this tour on Saturday, July 9, 2011. Our tour guide was Paula, and we absolutely LOVED her! It was a unique experience from other tours she had done previously -- for a few reasons. To start, she had an inexperienced driver that did not know the route, but she handled it beautifully without skipping a beat on the tour. Then, one of the tourists on our bus was hit by a car on her way to pick up an item she had left at one of the restaurants. Although this was a shocking situation, Paula remained calm and professional. She kept us all informed of the situation, and she handled it with poise. The girl that was injured happened to be part of a 10-person group, so we had to cut the tour a bit short to take them back to their hotel. On the way back, we were denied entrance into a tunnel that is usually utilized for this tour. However, Paula apologized sincerely and took us to a quick alternate route. At the end of the day, we were told we could fill out our names and addresses for reimbursement since the tour was cut short. However, regardless of the unique circumstances of the tour, we left happy as clams. If all of that can happen on a tour, and the tourists are still completely satisfied, it is because of the tour guide! We think she did a fantastic job! She was very informative, very friendly, and she handled a tough situation with great professionalism. We would take this tour again in a minute, even if it was going to happen the exact same way. The pizza was terrific, and Paula made us feel like we got more than our money's worth. :) |

This tour was so much more than great pizza. It went through many neighborhoods of Brooklyn covering the history and the behind-the-scenes stories along the way. Watching movie clips that feature the local area was a real treat as well. Paula the tour guide was not only personable and enthusiastic, but very, very knowledgeable about the history of Brooklyn. Even though I had been to Brooklyn many times before, this tour allowed me to discover things I had never known about or been to before. Highly recommend -- makes a great gift for someone! |

My husband, brother and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. My husband is a Chicagoan who learned that there is more to NYC than Manhattan and this is coming from a Manhattan girl. Our tour guide was wonderful, full of knowledge and funny. The pizza was good but the spumanti was fantastic! |
