I booked this tour after reading previous reviews on the Zerve site, & it was every bit as good as the reviews said it was. Won't bore you with long winded review, but i will say that both the tour guide & driver were excellent, the locations, activities & food were great & would recommend this tour to anyone interested in good pizza, great locations & informative tour guides.

Brooklyn Pizza and More!

Took the pizza tour so I could rest a rehabbing ankle and learn a little about Brooklyn. Was pleasantly surprised when it was better than expected. Paula and the bus met us on time and when everybody showed up early, we left a few minutes early (Refreshing after all the times I've been told I needed to arrive 15 minutes early and nobody from the tour company was in the vicinity!) Unlike some bus tours where you're treated like pariahs, both pizzerias welcomed us with open arms, steaming hot pizzas and tables set for the group. Loved hearing the inside scoop on the Brooklyn pizza wars and seeing the sites/clips from movies. Best video linkup to sites I've ever had on a tour. Mostly enjoyed Paula's infectious delight in Brooklyn....friendly, enthusiastic, informed, couldn't ask for more!

I've been on the tour about 4 times now and it's wonderful each and every time. Paula our guide was as wonderful and enthusiastic as her cousin Tony, the founder of the tour. The pizza is delicious and the sights are fabulous. I highly recommend this tour and I look forward to future tours they are developing.

Tour was great, good look around Brooklyn, both pizza venues were excellent and fun to attend. Tour guide was excellent, a real local and knew so much, presented in friendly and enthusiastic manner. Would definitely recommend it, especially if you have limited time. Showed us areas we wouldn't have known about beforehand and will definitely return to by ourselves on another trip.

Tasteless pizza, total rip off, urban blight tour

Terrible value for the money- Gremaldi's was tasteless pizza, slightly burnt on bottom of crust. Mystifying why this is a hot spot for pizza. L&B Garden was absolutely undercooked pasty doughy tasteless pizza. Tacky, filthy place. I spent $230 for two adults and a child for a small amount of the worst pizza experience ever. When I think of the fine meal we could have had for that money I get sick. Not to mention, when we were eating at Grimaldi's the guide came over and took the pizza off of our table to give to others at the other tables. Entirely rude. This was AFTER she asked if we minded and we said yes. To add insult to injury the ice cream wasvan extra fee. Are they kidding? as far as Brooklyn goes we weren't shown enough of a cross section, just the tired, worn sections. What happened to Williamsburg and Park Slope? This tour is a total rip off.

Loved everything about it from the enthusiastic guide Paula and the driver, to the punctuality, diversity, well researched background including film clips and audio, and of course the pizza. One of the best organized tours I've even taken. Well worth every penny!

Our guide Paula was terrific. Her enthusiasm was infectious. She's done her homework factoid-wise but her narrative never gets bogged down with facts. Excellent interplay with clients, very personable. This was my second time. Anytime I come back to the city and have the time, I'll be back on the "Slice" tour. Thanks Paula for a great time!

We've been to New York many times and were looking for something different to do which would also appeal to our twenty something year old children. A few days before our trip the Sunday Times (UK) gave a good review of the Slice of Brooklyn pizza tour so we thought we'd try it. It was easy to book online and our electronic tickets with good directions came through immediately. Our meeting point was easy to find at a good location to grab some bottles of water before we started the tour. The very comfortable, clean, air-conditioned tour bus arrived ahead of schedule and our tour guide, Paula, kept us entertained until the last customers arrived. Her interesting and informative patter continued to keep us amused for the next 4 ½ hours as we saw the sights of Brooklyn and ate fantastic pizza. We'd thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone. It's a great combination of fun, food and information and is good value for money. It would also be suitable for any age range and most mobility abilities. There are only two very short walking bits and anyone with severe mobility problems could stay on the bus and only leave it at the two restaurants. When we return to New York we'll definitely book another tour with A Slice of Brooklyn Bus Tours.
