enjoyed our tour guide, Paula

Loved Paula (I know you're reading this Paula...I'm the one from Texas last week who asked about the house in Sophie's Choice). Both pizza places were great. I loved the way you were careful to match the video clips with our drive, especially Travolta walking down the street. Enjoyed seeing Coney Island because I hadn't seen it for over 30 years (went there as a kid in the 70's). It's probably not possible because of the timeframe, but would have enjoyed the chance to see Prospect Park and some of that area of Brooklyn like Park Slope. Again, that's probably an entirely different tour and would have stretched our time too thin, but there's so much Brooklyn history to talk about. Your idea for a "pub crawl" type of tour is a good idea and could be a big hit for you guys. The idea for the multi-ethnic food is excellent. Any tour is made-or-broken by the tour guide and you are great at this...so enthusiastic and fun. I know it's something you "fell into" with family, but you have a gift and I'm glad you share it. One suggestion: make an optional stop on the drive back so that you can "drop off" anybody in the group who would like to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. The rest of the group that doesn't want to "walk" can go back to Blimpies in Manhattan. It was rainy & cool last week the day of our tour, so nobody else in the group probably would have wanted to do it. But I would love to walk across the bridge. If you gave the option to drop people off and let them walk back on their own, there may be people who want to do it. Maybe you could drop them at the exact spot when they access the bridge to walk back. Thanks, Paula. All the best from Kristi in Dallas, Texas.

I really enjoyed the Slice Of Brooklyn tour. On my vacations, I always try to get off the beaten path. This tour provided just the opportunity. I had the chance to see the filming locations of some of my favorite movies such as the strreet from the famous car chase in "The French Connection". Of couse, the pizza was delicious. Paula, our guide on this particular tour was extremely informative, providing a lot of background on the various neighborhoods that we visited. This tour was one of my favorite acitivities on my New York visit.

Brooklyn is so much more than just pizza!

Paula was our tour guide, and she was fantastic! Her love for Brooklyn is authentic and infectious. I didn't know or care much about Brooklyn, and I went on this tour primarily for the pizza. It turns out, as awesome as the pizza was, the history and quirks of Brooklyn are just as interesting and memorable! The price you pay is definitely appropriate for the fast service you get at the pizza places, PLUS the pizza itself, PLUS the luxurious bus ride, PLUS the personality of your tour guide. This pizza tour is worth it and I recommend it for people of all ages from anywhere - locals or tourists.

Put this on your "Must Do" list for sure!!

This tour was absoulutely fantastic! Not only do you get to eat two different types of pizzas (no waiting in line -- tables are waiting for you when you arrive) but you also get a comfortable bus, an extrememly friendly and knowledgeable tour guide (we had Paula), stops at Brooklyn Bridge Park and Coney Island, and lots of movie clips as you are passing the actual locations where they were filmed. This is definitely a great way to see Brooklyn!! My one piece of advice --give yourself plenty of time to get to the meeting location or risk being left behind and missing out on all the fun!! Second piece of advice -- don't eat too much at the first stop because you want to have room for the second stop!

My whole family and I thoroughly enjoyed this pizza tour. Now that I am home I will never eat another pizza after tasting the pizza at Grimald'is Pizzeria, it was simply perfection. The historical tour of Brooklyn was also most enjoyable. I recommend that everyone who goes to New York should go on this tour. I would definitely do this tour again.

Great tour although lacking variety

We had asked someone what was the best food tour in New York, we were told that this was by fat the best tour. We booked it on our 2nd day of the 10 days in New York. During our stay we avoided pizza in New York waiting to taste all the best pizza on the tour. Whilst the pizza that was offered on the tour was great, we were expecting to have more of a variety or a choice of toppings etc. 4 slices of margarita pizza to me doesnt define a 'taste of brooklyn pizza'. The tour guide was fantastic and we loved being shown the sites through Brooklyn. Overall we would highly reccommend the tour to others but would tell them it isnt really a 'food' tour. I think if they could let you choose your own topping or have different toppings on offer would greatly increase the love of food on the tour. 4 out of 5 stars!
