A Slice of Brooklyn was a fantastic tour - quite the best thing in a wonderful week in New York. I went with my daughter and her boyfriend (aged 18 and 17), having seen it recommended in the Lonely Planet guide, and we had a great time. I seem to remember seeing on a website that the tour took in 10 pizza parlours, and that had felt a bit daunting - we all love pizza and eat plenty, but 10 seemed a bit OTT, however the tour only included 2 pizza places, and that was just right. Tony who runs the tour knows Brooklyn inside out, and was a good guide - friendly, amusing and helpful. The video clips he'd put together to illustrate how the locations we visited were used in films and TV shows were well researched, and brilliantly timed to the tour. And the two pizza parlours, Grimaldi's and Spumoni Gardens, were fabulous. Great food, great history, and I learned a lot about the politics of town planning in Brooklyn in particular. I hadn't realised we'd be going to Coney Island as part of it, and that was a real bonus - we'd planned a trip there later in the week, so that saved us time to see other places. I recommended the trip to other people we met at the hotel, and am really looking forward to returning to New York so I can go on other tours Tony is planning. Just brilliant!

My husband, daughter, and I took the tour and had a great time. In fact, this tour was the highlight of our sixth visit to NY. We've covered all of the typical tourist spots over the years, some of the most notable restaurants, and seen some of the most popular Broadway shows, and this tour ranks among our favorite NY experience. Tony does an incredible job of sharing Brooklyn history, culture, and food with those on the tour. The four and a half hour tour includes the perfect mix of food (delicious pizza), Brooklyn sites (including Coney Island), architecture, and famous movie sites. The tour bus was luxurious, and the tour allowed for several stops to take in the sites at ground level. Tony's energy and pace are outstanding! To top off our fabulous day, Tony graciously acknowledged that it was our daughter's 12th birthday. Thanks Tony for an unforgettable experience!!!

The pizza was wonderful, but the insight into Brooklyn was equally as good. The views of Manhattan from under the Manhattan Bridge were spectacular. And the movie clips were an added bonus. This is a well planned and well paced tour. I've been to Brooklyn many times, but this tour covered areas, I never visited before. I'd recommend this tour to any New Yorker, especially if they love pizza.

as someone who avoids tours like the plague i cannot reccommend A Slice of Brooklyn Pizza Tour highly enough.Tony our guide was extremely informative and enthusiastic about the area he comes from.his enthusiasm only helped us to enjoy the day more.We learnt so much about Brooklyn, and visited areas we would never have been to.As someone who has only spent time in Manhattan it was enlightening to see what one of the other boroughs has to offer. And as for the pizza, two completely contrasting types but both outstanding.Without doubt the highlight of our recent trip to NYC.

This has to be a one of a kind tour! Tony is very accommodating and eager to please. The pizza is great and if you are a movie buff, that is a plus. Tony has also put together a terrific presentation of combining movies and actual real locations together, along with a great history lesson of Brooklyn. An enjoyable day !

This was a fantatic trip which we would recommend to anyone visiting the city - Tony is funny, charming and full of information about his area and pizza of course! The bus was really comfortable, the other passengers friendly and all in all it was a really fun way to spend an afternoon. It was definately one of the highlights of our one week trip from Ireland. Next time we come back to New York we will 'fugedabout' Manhattan and be heading straight for Brooklyn!

Four of us, ages 59-66, had a wonderful time on this tour. We saw a lot of Brooklyn and very much enjoyed the commentary provided by Tony. We particualrly enjoyed going to areas where famous movies were filmed. The pizza itself was good though we all thought we've had better NY pizza in the past. We highly recommend the tour to anyone who wants to know the history of the city.
