| We enjoyed the Slice of Brooklyn Pizza Tour immensely. It was interesting and informative. The pizza was exceptionally good, too. Slip away from Manhattan for part of a day to see and taste some of Brooklyn's best. Tony's the perfect guide for your journey. |

| This tour had two aims, eating great pizza and Brooklyn sightseeing. I am pleased to say that it met both objectives with flying colours. Tony is a most engaging tour guide. If you left him to it, he could talk about the geography, demographics, history and culture of Brooklyn for hours, and what's more it would all be compelling listening. Tony clearly loves Brooklyn, and that is obvious to anyone that takes the tour.
The pizza at both Grimaldi's and Spumoni Gardens was delicious, and unlike any pizza I have had anywhere else. As for the sightseeing, Brooklyn Bridge was a predictable, albeit essential place to visit. We also visited the Manhattan Bridge down the river. However, it is when we left the shore of the East River and headed into unknown territory in deepest Brooklyn that the already high interest level rose still further. I loved Bay Ridge (yes, Brooklyn does have middle class areas!). Also fascinating were the areas of Bensonhurst, Dyker Heights and Bath Beach and their Italian-American influences. We saw the pizzeria where John Travolta purchased a pizza in 'Saturday Night Fever', and a few other locations from that film. We drove down the road featured in the car chase in 'The French Connection'. We visited the Coney Island Boardwalk and on the way back to Manhattan passed from various intriguing Ethnic neighbourhoods.
One possible suggestion for future improvement. Make the tour 2-3 hours longer, so that we can discover even more areas of Brooklyn and we can make more stops at points of interest. And eat more pizza of course!
Overall, an excellent tour. My perception of Brooklyn has changed forever. The next day I was on the D train back to Coney Island. I now find myself saying 'Forget About It' at random times! As the trailer says, you can take the tourist out of Brooklyn, but you can't take Brooklyn out of the tourist... |

| Our daughter and friends from North Carolina made the plans for the Brooklyn Pizza tour and we were lucky enough to be included. Although we are New Yorkers from upstate, we had never had the chance to travel into Brooklyn. It was a great time! Tony was a terrific tour guide, who made sure the tour ran smoothly, never rushing us but making sure that we had plenty of time to enjoy our meals, and still see all the sights promised. His talk on the bus was very informative yet entertaining and we would definitely recommend it to all our friends and family. What a great way to spend the day and a great value for the money. We're looking forward to the Christmas Lights tour! |

| Although the pizza is delicious, what makes the tour so special is the guide, Tony. His enthusiasm for Brooklyn is genuine and he shares this with the tour group. I would highly recommend this tour. |

| Tony, with an obvious passion for his home-town, covers Brooklyn from every imaginable angle: culinary, historical, political, cultural. His presentation is humorous, fact-filled, fast-paced, well organized--in short entertaining and informative--oh and quite delicious. He introduces tour-goers to the world of NYC pizza, describing the history of the early families who began it all and offers up samples of two of Brooklyn's most popular pizza styles.
Along the route, which covers miles and miles of Brooklyn, from the "edgier" neighborhoods to the million dollar homes overlooking the river, Tony offers well-timed clips from films depicting Brooklyn scenes. So, we watch John Travolta (Saturday Night Fever) talking about the Brooklyn Bridge from a bench along the river--as we ourselves look out at the bench from the windows of the van.
Highly recommended for locals and tourists alike! |

| I saw this tour featured on CBS Sunday morning and immediately went to my computer and made a reservation. This is great, fun, and delicious. This is the tour guide's baby and he treats it right. The bus is very nice, the guide is exhuberant and knows his stuff. Anyone should love it, and you see sooooo much of Brooklyn, including Coney Island. He also has videos and music that are both enjoyable and informative. And you also get to eat at two excellent pizza places. I loved it. Enjoy! |
