We found Tony very knowledgeable about Brooklyn and all the history was interesting. The facts he gave us were true, short and to the point. He was very friendly, funny and personable. The bus was very clean, comfortable and the bus driver Kevin was professional. The pizza was cooked to perfection and the staff at both places were friendly and accommodating. We are very pleased that we were able to take the tour. It helped make our New York trip extra special. If you are thinking about taking any other tour instead of this one FUHGETTABOUDIT!! |

This was a fantastic tour! As a Travel Agent Ill definately be telling ALL my clients that visit New York to go along.
It was great to see the different parts of Brooklyn, and we loved how the tour tied in the different sights with movie scenes as well! |

I forgot that I had booked the tour after 10 days in New York.
Thanks to Paula (our tour guide) ringing me & the guys at Verve translating Paula's Brooklynese instructions to go to 'Ord Fulton' into 'Old Fulton', we were able to catch up to the tour at Grimaldis.
Very pleased we did, had a great time.
Paula was a terrific guide.
Thanks Paula!
Thanks Verve!

PS Will not forget next time! |

Just home from 6 nights in New York and took the Slice of Brooklyn tour while there. I cant recommend this tour highly enough. I have beeen to N.Y. with my husband several times before and had even been to Brooklyn before but nothing like this! From the moment we met Tony in wonderful New York sunshine we were exposed to his exceptional local knowledge of the area and his great love of his home town of Brooklyn was highly contagious! All the highlights of the borough are covered in this tour and the area's significant place in film history is effectively captured in the film clips shown as you pass the various sites where they were shot. You really feel like you are a part of the action! Of course the pizza was good also but it was Tony himself that was the star of the show for us. Exceptional value for money....be sure to book this tour.....you wont regret it!

This trip has something for everyone. Fanastic sights, information delivered by an enthusiastic, charistmatic and well informed guide, great movie clips to make locations come to life and the best pizza we have ever tasted.
This was the best trip of our family holiday to New York and we have already recommended it to all of our friends. We are looking forward to the promised Mob Tour and will definately be coming back over for that.
The atmosphere in the restaurants was great - we could have happily spent the day there too - particularly Grimaldi's - our favourite (although a close thing!).
Thank you for a wonderful day with lots of happy memories and don't forget to tell us when you're Mob Tour is up and running.

Paula was our tour guide and did a very good job describing each area we went through.Proud to be a Brooklynite. During the bus ride at certain points a video was shown from movies from the same area. Saturday Night Fever was a major talking point. Some sort of icon of Brooklyn thing. For me, she might have over selled the pizza. Grimaldi's was a good pizza with an excellent crunchy base, but to me a cheese n tomato pizza is not going to earn any bragging rights as the best pizza in town. Again, same with L & B's, more topping choices are needed. The idea of putting the tomato on top of the cheese is great, normally you can't tell which is cheese or the skin from your lips when you take a bite of the pizza. I was disappointed when after my third piece of pizza I was full. You're eating more bread than actual topping. The only minor, ney, major disappointment ( for me of course ) was during our walk around Coney, Paula never mentioned anything about the best movie ever, The Warriors. The wonder wheel in the opening credits, the train stopping at stillwell ave, the warriors are from coney. Maybe "a slice of brooklyn pizza tour" could be the wrong title. You only stop at 2 places while the most of the tour is talking about Brooklyn. When you go on a pub crawl you go to more than 2 pubs. The funniest moment was before we got to Grimaldi's, Paula said don't look at the people standing in line. You can't help but look. She was right. There's a kind of hatred on their faces when you jump the line. Overall a good four - five hours discription about Brooklyns area and people. |

This was a great way to spend our one day in NYC. We wanted something different and this tour offered it - plus the wine and pizza was great, too! |

Paula introduced us to Brooklyn, as if it were an old friend.
She obviously loves the place, and its contagious.
The pizza was- OK, - not $ 75 worth, but the rest of the tour made up for it.
It would cost that much in cab fares to get to Coney Island and Brighton Beach, and the commentary of each neighbourhood was priceless. |
