Really Great Tour
Fri, Apr 24  11:00 AM marykay Female 60-69 Local Group of Friends
This is our third time on this tour. We are local in NJ and every time we have friends visiting from out of town we book this tour. Everyone we take also praises the tour. We have had a different tour guide each time and they all do a wonderful job. We had Tony, Maria and this last time Paula. Strongly recommend for folks who like Pizza and want to know all about Brooklyn. Well done.

Fun, Casual, and Interesting!

We are local New Yorkers who were interested in doing something "different" for the weekend. This trip got us out of the house for a great 5 hours, touring parts of Brooklyn that we had never, or rarely, been to, and enjoying the best pizza of NY without waiting in line! It was fun, providing a nice, relaxed and casual atmosphere, while offering some interesting tidbits of knowledge. If you are thinking of checking out Grimaldi's on a stay in NY, then why not do this - it'll save you a line and you'll see more and eat more great pizza than you had planned on! A couple of things to know: we were drawn to this tour from an article that focused primarily on the main tour guide - a quintessential Italian Brooklynite. However, as the tours have since expanded, there are now more guides - all Brooklynites I believe, but know that they may not be quintessential personality we had originally expected from the article. Also, don't go if you are expecting to learn deep Brooklyn history, The tour provides great interesting facts and cocktail trivia, but not very much real or notable history. We had a GREAT time nonetheless and do recommend the trip to anyone who wants to try a "different sort of tour!"

As a New Jersey native all I ever hear is "Everything is better in Brooklyn".from Brooklyn transplants. After the tour I do agree that "Almost everything is better in Brooklyn" My 2 teenagers and husband loved the tour. Paula was energetic and funny but most of all real.

I would recommend this tour to anyone!

I can't count how many people I have already recommened this tour to. This is an excellent tour for locals or tourists, a couple on a date, a family, or senior citizens, and for anyone who loves pizza and history. I live in New York and I had four elderly relatives coming to visit. Out of all the touristy activities we did, this was the one they talked the most about. The pizza was so delicious, we learned so much about the history of Brooklyn and pizza, and the tour guide was very entertaining. I can't wait to take my friends on this tour.

Absolutely Fabulous

As someone that has grown up in Brooklyn and has been gone for 30+ years it was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with my roots and to share the experience with my young daughters, one of which is named "Brooke Lynn". My daughters enjoyed the pizza, the history and Paula our tour guide who is an absolute doll.

PIZZA PERFECT

MY HUSBAND & i AND OUR TWO FRIENDS FROM CALIFORNIA HAD A GREAT TIME. THE PIZZA WAS REALLY GOOD. WE ALSO ENJOYED THE TOUR OF THE VARIOUS SPOTS IN BROOKLYN, HIGHLIGHTED BY THE FILM CLIPS FROM THE MOVIES MADE IN BROOKLYN. OUR GUIDE, PAULA, WAS FUNNY, INFORMATIVE, WARM, FRIENDLY AND JUST PLAIN NICE. SHE WAS ACCOMODATING TO US BY LETTING US OFF NEAR CANAL STREET. WE REALLY APRECIATED THAT. WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS EXPERIENCE TO ALL OUR FRIENDS. AND WE HOPE THAT THEY ALSO WOULD GET PAULA AS THEIR GUIDE. WE'RE LOOKING FORWARD TO TRYING SOME OF THE OTHER TOURS SOON.

Paula was fantastic!

Before the tour I was a little disappointed that we were only going to go to two pizzerias, but after we hit the second one I was so STUFFED I understood why we don't go to more. It was a fun way to see Brooklyn, and our tour guide Paula was great and made the tour really enjoyable. She knows a lot of interesting trivia, and was like a proud parent showing off her borough. Going to Grimaldi's without waiting in line is worth the price of the ticket. Grimaldi's is good, but honestly not the best pizza in the world, but you still have to experience it. L&B's was outstanding. We got lucky with wonderful weather, but I can imagine it might not be as fun in the cold or rain, but still worth the trip.

Great sites - great stories - don't miss it
Mon, Mar 30  11:00 AM MVGNYC Male 50-59 Local Family Without Children
This was a wonderful few hours laughing, learning, eating, talking and seeing the sites of Brooklyn. Thank you to Paula who had it all together - wonderful stories, funny quips, excellent video clips to accent where we were. Chocolate and Pizza - how can you loose. Thanks to the folks behind the scenes who helped make it happen and thanks to a great driver who navigated the streets of Manhattan and Brooklyn so we didn't have to think about it. Saw all the the sites, enjoyed some pizza and even finally saw Coney Island -- what a country. Thank you Slice of Brooklyn.

Fantastic, warm, educational, fun and delicious
Sat, Mar 28  11:00 AM alyceconlon Female 60-69 Local Group of Friends
We were a group of eight (friends and family). Some of us were born and raised in Brooklyn. We all learned new information. The food was of course delicious. We loved riding along Shore Road and seeing homes people don't ordinarily think of when they think of Brooklyn. The driver was excellent. Maria Ripoli made the trip. She was warm, enthusiastic and knew her material as if she had been raised in Brooklyn herself. She interacted with the passengers and was most professional. It was great to share a part of my past with those from my past and with my new friends. Maria deserves much credit for a most outstanding job. Thanks We look forward to other tours, Alyce Conlon

We Love Brooklyn
Sun, Mar 22  11:00 AM audraboone Female 20-29 Local Group of Friends
My husband and I live in Queens and we went on this tour with my sister (who is living in Brooklyn) and two family members visiting from out of town. Paula was our guide and she was wonderful - entertaining and funny with a good knowledge of pizza, brooklyn history, locations, movies and more. We learned a lot of fun facts!! The pizza was excellent! We all enjoyed our first taste of spumoni as well. We would take the tour again with other out of town visitors or take another one of the tours that the company offers. Thanks Slice of Brooklyn!
