Great Pizza, Great Tour, Great Time!

Tony has put together an outstanding tour that was enjoyed by everyone in our family (including our two teenage girls and our 9 year old boy). Convenient meeting spot in Manhattan kicked things off and Tony's personality and knowledge are what makes the tour. The pizza is outstanding but the running commentary and video clips really make this tour worth it. Highly recommended.

Was it the incomparable scenery, Tony's funny and knowledgeable spiel or the delicious pizza? Or was it the lovely people I met on the tour? It's so difficult to pick out the best thing about the Slice of Brooklyn: it was a wonderful tour from start to finish. Richard UK

At the moment we met the group our guide, Tony, greeted us with open arms. It is truly amazing and a special gift one possess when you can faciliate 14 individuals who arrive as strangers and at the end of 4.5+ hours leave as friends. Tony made this happen. He is very passionate about Brooklyn. He is very knowledgable about his home. He takes pride of his home. He loves to share his home. The tour moves right along and 4.5 hours just pass on rather quickly. He tells us about the history of Brooklyn, the bridges, the buildings, George Washington, foods, amusement, movies, entertainers and homes. We ate...ate...ate...ate. If you still wanted to eat, then you had an opportunity to eat a Nathans Original Hot Dog at Coney Island. At the end of the tour he wished as all well as a group & individually. It was in a genuine way. The tour was educational, tasty & fun! We have already recommended this tour to our family & friends and would recommend it to anyone else interested in a unique and fun tour.

As a native New Yorker, who has lived away from NY these past 20 years, I and my high school & college friend (who lives on LI) went on this fabulous tour. I happened to find a paragraph about the tour in Relish magazine which appears in the Sunday papers the first weekend of the month. I made our reservations & we went on the tour June 8. We both loved it & have very enthusiastically told friends & family about it. My friend is planning to get a group of her friends & return on the tour. I have several family members in TX who plan to go to NY in the near future (as well as friends in NY) whom I have strongly recommended to go, as well. Tony Muia made the tour so delightful! It is apparent he loves what he does & has so much information, facts & anecdotes which make the tour so special. The bus group we traveled with was relatively small (about 15) & we all seemed to bond. Of all the sights we saw & visited in the city the 4 days we were there, The Slice of Brooklyn Pizza Tour was the highlight of our trip!!

When people visit New York, I feel it is so important to take a tour like this. There is so much more to see than just Manhattan. There is so much history and cultural diversity in the whole area that you really can't say you've been to New York if you haven't experienced the other boroughs. I am originally from Queens, so when my family and I come to New York we love to spend time in Manhattan and then go explore other areas. Tony is a great tour guide because he really knows Brooklyn and the pizza was wonderful (along with the spumoni).

This tour was the highlight of our visit to New York City. Tony, the tour guide, was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and extremely enteraining. The pizza was terrific and the history and information provided about the landmarks and neighborhoods was incredible. The stop at Coney Island and the ride on the Cyclone roller coaster was just one of the numerous highlights. I strongly recommend this tour.

A very enjoyable day away from Manhattan to sample the best of another borough. Not only was the pizza excellent but so was the well-informed and laugh-out-loud funny performance by Tony keeping us entertained throughout.

The Real New York
Mon, May 28, 07   11:00 AM davidgeorge Male 50-59 International Tourist(s) Family Without Children
Having visited all the accepted New York/Manhatten sites this was a refreshing insight into how real New Yorkers live, eat and play. Tony has such a depth of knowledge and enthusiasm about his own neighbourhood which includes the buildings, political history, residents (both famous and infamous) and places of fun. We were lucky enough to have a couple on our coach who had left Coney Island 50 years ago and Tony made a detour to show their granddaughter the apartments where her grandmother grew up. It was really quite emotional for the whole coach which consisted of a mixture from the UK, USA and South America. The pizzas were unlike any other we had eaten before and you must try the spumoni at L & B's. Would recommend this trip to everyone. Thanks to everyone on our coach for being such good company.
