Nostalgic trip back to Bklyn with a terrific guide

My wife and I read about this event in the NY Times and immediately wanted to give it a whirl. We were born and raised in Brooklyn, now living in South Jersey). We asked my brother and his wife (originally from the Bronx, but lived in Brooklyn when she got married) to join us. It was a trip down "memory lane," visiting old neighborhoods we were familiar with and also seeing how the borough has developed and changed since we moved away in the 60's. Our guide, Paula, was a bundle of energy and information. She made the 4-hour excursion even more fun than we anticipated. Driving around some of the streets in Brooklyn is a challenge for the faint of heart, so kudos also go to the bus driver who has amazing navigating skills. Everything about this event is highly rated by our group of four.

We gained a new respect for rich diversity of Brooklyn and all of the people that got their start there. The pizza stops are outstanding. Tour guide was entertaining and informative. We highly recommend the tour to everyone.

our guide was extremely organized and informed about the area -- she made it fun -- full of Brooklyn history -- the movie part was a delight -- the pizza stops broke up the bus ride just at the right time -- seeing Coney Island for the first time was a treat --- a delightful 5 hours .

Never did I think Brooklyn would look like this! I always thought it would be dirty and nothing to see. Well, my outlook has most definitely changed. Paula, our tour guide was so knowledgeable and at the same time fun. She shared with all of us a sense of humor, a true brooklynite kind of girl. I don't know if that makes sense but her understanding of what she explained as we were going to different parts of Brooklyn was great because of her heritage. I already recommended this trip to everyone I work with. The Pizza was really an experience too. I have never had such a craving for pizza as much as I do now. I mean grimaldi's tops the PIE!!!! It brings a new meaning to COAL FIRED PIZZA! We also never got bored in that luxury bus of yours. The seats were so comfortable and the picture screen that showed the movies the same time you were going by them was incredible! You guys did your homework on this one. At the same time the history of Brooklyn was so fascinating. There was so much detail that I still remember alot because Paula made it interesting to listen. I want you to know this because the next tour we go on will be with you. What a Fun day me and my husband had.

You Haven't Seen Brooklyn Until You Take This Tour

I am a sales manager for a hotel chain. I was recommended to take the tour by one of my colleagues so that we can promote things to do in Brooklyn. I'm from Brooklyn and wasn't sure if this tour was for me. My younger sister and I decided to schedule the tour to see what it was all about. We met the very nice comfortable, clean tour bus in Manhattan. Going over the Manhattan Bridge captures the beginning of the tour showing you the Brooklyn Bridge gets you ready for an awesome experience. Paula is the tour guide and this "young woman" knows Brooklyn like she was born when Brooklyn started out as a borough. She is funny, sharp and don't mind taking pictures of you and your group if asked. They need to clone this young lady. She should conduct every tour. Her knowledge of Brooklyn will impress any and everyone. The two pizza stop were awesome. The VIP treatment at Grimaldi's made everyone feel like superstars. We walked past the long line to reserved seating. The pizza was very good. But my favorite pizza stop was L&B Spumoni Gardens in Bensonhurst. I have never tasted anything like this. The only thing I can say bad about this place is that it has only one location. OMG! They need to be all over New York. Any way. Take the tour. Is it the best Brooklyn Experience you will ever have..........FUGGEDABOUTIT
