I took my son and his 14 year old friend to NYC for a long weekend and we did it all. A huge highlight was "The Pizza Tour of Brooklyn!" We learned many interesting facts, heard a lot of fun stories, and got to eat pizza - pizza that was so delicious that the boys wanted to go back for more the next day! But they didn't want to go with me, they wanted our tour guide to take them back!! Our photos of the Brooklyn Bridge with Manhattan's skyline in the background came out perfect since we were led to just the right spot to take those shots. When we were on the Coney Island boardwalk you could practically hear the Drifters singing even though it was about 20 degrees out because of the colorful stories of the history and happenings of Coney Island that our guide shared with us. On an earlier trip to NYC I wanted to explore Brookly so we headed over in our car and took a drive around. We had no idea where we were or what we were looking at and we soon turned around to head back to Manhattan. The Slice of Brooklyn Tour was much different and more than I was hoping for. I now feel like I have a sense of Brooklyn both then and now and I definatley know where to go when the desire for a good slice becomes overwhelming! I encourage everyone to take this tour no matter your age or knowledge of the area - everyone will have fun. I plan to convice my neighbors to spend our December holiday weekend away in NYC this year so that we can book the Christmas and Canolis tour as I confident it will put us in the holiday spirit - I hear the lights are something to be seen. Thank you, A Slice of Brooklyn for making me a hero of a mom for booking this tour! |

I really enjoyed the Slice Of Brooklyn tour. On my vacations, I always try to get off the beaten path. This tour provided just the opportunity. I had the chance to see the filming locations of some of my favorite movies such as the strreet from the famous car chase in "The French Connection". Of couse, the pizza was delicious. Paula, our guide on this particular tour was extremely informative, providing a lot of background on the various neighborhoods that we visited. This tour was one of my favorite acitivities on my New York visit. |

I was a little wary of how good this tour would actually be to be honest. Although having now done the tour, I must highly recommend this to any person visiting New York and the surrounding areas. I am disabled, however there were no really long walks etc, however I would possibly recommend to Tony that he gets a bus with lower steps on it, as the steps on the bus did prove a struggle. I guess New York doesn't really cater for disabled people, what with its bustling non stop daily life.
Now back to the tour itself .... Tony and Jimmy were great fun. Tony constantly spoke to the group at all times, and informed of places where movies had been made etc. I couldn't believe that so much had actually taken place in Brooklyn!!! My favourite pizza was in the pizzaria wher Old Blue Eyes himself (Frank Sinatra) requented. I didn't particularly like the one we had at the pizzaria where the guys from The Sopranos go. But you win some and you lose some eh?
Anyway what are you waiting for people .... get on the website and book to go on this tour .... if you don't you'll only live to regret it my friends!
Ciao Tony |

I was delightfully surprised when I discovered that not only was I getting a tour with pizza, but also a tour that mixed narration of the Brooklyn sites we traveled trough with cool movie clips from street corners etc that we went pass.
Pizza and Brooklyn, a great feeling of nostalgia delivered by a guy that obviously loves Brooklyn, got to see where Joe Pescis character in the move Godfellas was whacked in a suburban garage, went to where Gene Hackmans character runs under the above-ground-railway in the movie The French Connection. And much more.
And to finish it up, we stopped in Coney Island, walked the boardwalk, and some of us even rode the famous roller coaster that is there. It is quite bumpy so do follow Tony's advice and don't ride in the last most seat...
I could feel the beautiful nostalgia even when if I myself is not even from New York.
I head a great time. And Tony, the tour guide, gave us all a paper with the titles of the movies and the music played during the tour, and even if I have seen most of them before, I am sure I will watch them through again some day to return to that nice Brooklyn feeling.
Thanks for the tour Tony.

We loved this tour. Tony was funny and interesting. The bus was small and clean. The pizza was delicious. Brooklyn is scenic and Tony is the perfect tour guide. He is full of interesting trivia and facts. Thanks for a great afternoon. Don't miss "Tony the Tour Guy" the ultimate guide of Brooklyn.
