My mom and I went on the Slice of Brooklyn Tour this past Sunday and were lucky to have Paula as our guide. First and foremost, there is SO much more to Brooklyn than I ever imagined. The bridge is a wonderful starting point, but the diversity of neighborhoods showed that Brooklyn is a city unto itself. As for the pizza, Grimaldi's delivered again!! They have great NY style pizza and terrific personalities to serve you. Our second pizza stop gave us a taste of a totally different style of pizza ~ Sicilian. It reminded my mom and I of Bruschetta ~ crispy bottom, light but bready crust, and a delicious combination of cheese and fresh-tasting tomato sauce. Oh, and, if you are given the chance to visit Jacques Torres on your tour, do it!! The chocolate chunk cookies are the best I have ever tasted.
It may have been the rainiest day ever in NY, but the Slice of Brooklyn Tour made Sunday a highlight of our visit. |

We were in a small gp on a very wet day so it was a good choice of activity and still got some great photos. Nice to see a different aspect of NY other than Manhattan. |

We took this trip with our grown children. We grew up in the Bronx and our children in Westchester.
Going to Brooklyn was like going to a foreign country. In fact, after this tour, we are convinced that Brooklyn should be it's own country! What a fantastic trip. It combined history with culture and food and video. In fact, if you are a movie buff, you will get to actually see where the scenes of classic movies were filmed. Our tour guide, Paula, was a delight. Everything was well timed and organized. Grimaldi's was waiting for our group while the other customers were waiting and lined up down the block. The pizza was excellent. At Spumoni Gardens, we recommend the rainbow spumoni ice cream.
Coney Island was a real treat. We cannot believe how many people from our area were never there, including us! So if you really want to do something different and fun, this is it!
We gave this to my husband as a Father's Day gift and next to the Yankee's last game in the old stadium, this was one of the best gifts that he ever got. |

This tour certainly did not feel like 4.5hrs. It all seemed to go by pretty quickly. With the pizza and non-alcoholic drinks provided, we left the tour full. We even had a few extra slices for the long trip home. Our guide, Paula, kept us entertained and was very informative of all the events/places. She was very enthusiastic about Brooklyn and it was a great day sharing her home town with us. Highly recommended! |

The slice of Brooklyn Pizza tour was everything and more than I had hoped for. Paula our guide was fantastic, she was everything I would expect a Brooklyn girl to be. Funny, bold, charming and full of great Brooklyn facts. The tour timing was perfect, combining videos with actual locations perfectly timed. Great tour keep up the good work. |

I'm originally from Bklyn, and my husband and I booked this trip for my 12 year old nephew as a birthday present. It sounded so good, his father (also originally from Bklyn) came along. All four of us were very pleased with every aspect of the tour. Our guide, Paula, was terrific - enthusiastic, knowledgeable and organized. The two pizza stops were fun, and the pizza delicious. The guys liked the Sicilian, I voted for the Neopolitan, but really we all enjoyed both tremendously! Our stops at the Brooklyn Bridge Park and Coney Island boardwalk were an added delight, and gave us plenty of photo opportunities.
I'd recommend this to anyone age 10+, and we are planning to book it for a larger group next year. A wonderful idea for a family or club event. Don't miss it! |

This tour was so much fun! Paula, our guide, was enthusiastic and welcoming, with a great sense of humor. She had a lot of information about various neighborhoods of Brooklyn at her fingertips. Her enjoyment of her job and her pride in Brooklyn were obvious! In addition to visiting two pizza restaurants with different types of pizza, the tour included several stops for short walks in parks near the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges; the views were spectacular! We also got to walk on the Coney Island Boardwalk. To add to the enjoyment, while riding from place to place, Paula showed clips of movies that were set in Brooklyn. By the way, the pizza was delicious! |
