Fabulous!!

This tour was fantastic! My friend and I had a great time. I live in NYC, but I would never have made it out to all of those places in Brooklyn on my own. The stop in Coney Island was especially fun. The tour guide did a great job of explaining the history of Brooklyn and of New York's best pizzerias, and she even told us a few exciting Mob stories. Pertinent movie clips were seamlessly incorporated, as well (the van had mouted TVs). It was pretty cool to get to see, for example, John Travolta walking down a street in "Saturday Night Fever" and then get to drive down that actual road in Brooklyn. It was also amazing to see the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges from so many angles. The pizza was absolutely phenomenal, as well. Just don't make the mistake of eating breakfast before this tour. You want to go on it hungry, believe me. Have fun! ~Ilana

Excellent tour in terms of coverage and guide

Our expectations prior to the tour were high, based on the comments of others, and we were not disappointed. Our tour guide, Paula, was superb (knowledgeable and bursting with enthusiasm), and the highlights of the tour, in terms of sites, were very well chosen. Moreover, the central theme - that is, pizza - similarly lived up to high expectations, and the eating was at a relaxed tempo despite the frenzy of the restaurants. As one would guess, consequently, the tour gets my highest recommendation. The four and 1/2 hours goes by very rapidly.

Back to the future

I was born in Brooklyn and raised just over the border in Queens. I moved to Manhattan as an adult and now live in Poughkeepsie. I wanted to show my son the borough of my birth. We both had a great time and plan to take the Brooklyn neighborhood tour to explore the rest of the borough. The bus was very comfortable and the guide (Paula) very enthusiastic.

Didn't know what to expect going in but it turned out to be a good time. $150 (2 tix) is a little steep but I think it was worth it. Lots of interesting places and good pizza.

I was under the impression that we would visit more pizzerias but starting at Grimaldis and finishing off at L&B's was perfect. Maria was an awesome tour guide!

This tour was an incredibly fun and educational event. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. I would definitely take the tour again! Make sure you come with an empty stomach so you can enjoy all the exceptional flavors. The bus driver, Danny, is the best…thanks for the experience.

Really Great Tour - more about history than food.

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour. It was unlike other food tours because you actually got to sit down and enjoy the food like you were at lunch which was nice. You get 2 peices of pizza at two of Brooklyn's well known pizzerias. It was definitely plenty of food, but the tour mainly revolves around seeing Brooklyn and learning about the burrough. You also get WONDERFUL views of the manhattan skyline and Brooklyn Bridge as well as seeing Coney Island and just a ton of knowledge about Brooklyn. We really liked that when a part of the town was a scene in a movie - they would play the movie clip so you can see the movie, and realize you're right there at the same time! I would definitely recommend this if you are interested in learning about Brooklyn and love pizza - but be aware that this is mainly about Brooklyn - and only about an hour of the tour revolves around eating and pizza!

Great family experience

My family (adult children) all had a great day together enjoying both the pizza and the tour. Paula was a phenomenal guide. Although native New Yorkers, it was fun learning more interesting Brooklyn history and checking out the local movie locations. Can't wait to sign up for the gangster tour.
