Great Tour of Brooklyn!

My husband and I loved to the tour of Brooklyn that was hosted by Tony. He grew up in the area and his personal knowledge was wonderful. He also took the time to pick out film clips from famous movies like "Saturday NIght Live" and show us exactly where we were in Brooklyn in relationship to the scene in the movie. NIce added touch. We enjoyed the entire tour which included great views of the Brooklyn Bridge where Tony took individual pictures of everyone on their camera with the Bridge in the background. The pizza was great; especially at Grimaldi's where we got to go in front of the long line waiting outside. We got a real sense of the neighborhoods and Tony provided us with a lot of history of the area. The bus that was used for transportation was very comfortable with large picture windows and A/C. We travel to NYC at least once a year and would highly recommend this tour as a nice diversion to the sights in Manhattan.

I very highly recommend this tour. Not only is it the best pizza I have ever eaten, but it was very educational as well as my son and I had never been to Brooklyn before. Paula is a five-star hostess and she knows everything about everything she shows you. Make it a priority on your trip to New York City.

This is the second time that I've taken this tour; once before 2 years ago. This time I brought some friends with me. Tony is wonderful - fun, energetic, caring, attentive and informative - just a great guy all around!! The tour was amazing, and the snow made it even more of a wonderful and magical evening!! I highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys the lights and decorations of the holiday season in a big way!!

Our tour was headed up by Paula, Tony's cousin. She is very energetic and full of history and fun movie facts . Not bad on the eyes for you fellas, either. ;) Everything she said about the pizza proved to be true - melts in your mouth - seriously the BEST! We had a great time and really enjoyed our first slice of Brooklyn. We would recommend the tour to NY natives and tourists alike!

Not recommended on a rainy night!
Sun, Dec 12, 10   7:00 PM srldneal Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
We went on the tour on a rainy night! Not good for getting out and taking pictures and hard to see lights through the bus windows! A transformer went out and most of the houses were dark....no lights at all! We did not get to see the best houses due to the darkness. We were not offered a refund of any kind. However, the cannoli was good!

Worth the time and money

The tour was great, Paula was a wealth of information. Our perception of Brooklyn changed, the pizza was great and totally different from each other. I had read and heard so much about Coney Island and its storied history, it was fun to walk the boardwalk and actually see. Paula mixed history and current events in her stories and used movie clips to provide a frame of reference. Great tour!

Enjoyed Paula's [tour guide] enthusiasm and personal touches to the tour. Only wish we could have had the option to go on the Cyclone while we were at Coney Island! Otherwise it was fun for myself and my adolescent daughter!

Kick A$$ Tour!

A group of us from South Florida took the tour and we had a spectacular time. Tony is very personable, friendly, and knowledgable. He has obviously done his homework and knows both the history of Brooklyn and the history of pizza in the Big Apple. He is not someone that is reciting from a memorized script, but someone that loves the area where he grew up, and loves sharing its history. An audio-visual presentation is included and enhances the tour greatly. The pizzas were incredible, and combined with the history, make this a terrific tour. I would strongly recommend this tour even if you are not a hard core pizza junkie.

Brooklyn Pizza Tour fantastic!
Fri, Sep 30, 11   11:00 AM sprout115 Female 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
Highly recommend this to anyone interested in seeing Brooklyn and being lead by Brooklyn native. The pizza that we had a long the way was outstanding, and even got to try some spumoni at one of the stops. Tony, our guide was enthusiastic, funny and a real pleasure to have as our host. We saw fantastic views of the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges. And great fun sites in Brooklyn. My only complaint, some friend's of Tony were on the tour, and they were annoying with their know-it-all personalities. While it's no fault of the tour, I would recommend that in the future friends of the tour/guide are sort of reeled in and told to be seen and not heard. Overall, highly recommend this informative and entertaining tour.
